Pink and grey galah found on Lewis Street in Lamington. Currently being looked after at Kalgoorlie Vet Clinic and has no obvious injuries, but we suspect this bird is missing a family. Please ring (08) 9021 3965 if you're missing a pink and grey and think this one may be yours.

📢 BIRD NOTICE 📢
Why is this important?
A positive case of Bird flu in our clinic could shut the clinic for 48 hours. This leaves us unable to provide care to urgent cases and sick pets.

Please read below!

We can still see birds in the clinic but we need you to call us prior to bringing them in. So we can assess the risk to keep our clinic open and also to keep our staff SAFE!

‼️ REMEMBER ‼️
If you see a wild sick bird- do not touch. Call the helplines for guidance!

Applications for a full time receptionist position at our clinic has reopened! ❤️

As our darling Dakotah starts her transition from receptionist to trainee veterinary nurse, we are on the look out for the new face of the Kalgoorlie Vet Clinic!!

If you think this could be you, please send your resume to [email protected]

It's true! A clinic runs better the right receptionists.

We’re now looking for a full-time receptionist to join the our team. If you're quick-thinking, love animals, people, and organized chaos (which there is always plenty of) you'll fit right in.

The average day includes juggling phones, appointments and lots of adorable (and sometimes nervous) patients along with their loving owners.

Our receptionists work in pairs - so you'll never be alone - and will have a small but close-knit and supportive team of nurses to work alongside.

With compassion and a welcoming smile, come be the first 'hello' in a place that works towards making a difference to pet health.

Please note experience in medical or fast-paced receptioning is preferred, but training will always be provided for the right candidate.

Resumes are to be sent to [email protected] with the subject 'Reception Position'.

A fantastic educational case shared by our clinic.

These images show severe dental disease, including X-rays revealing a jaw fracture caused by infection and bone loss.

This post is shared with owner consent to raise awareness about the importance of dental health in our pets. Often, owners are unaware of how severe dental disease has become, as many pets will continue eating and acting normally despite experiencing significant pain.

The good news is that this patient has now received the treatment and ongoing care needed to relieve their pain and improve their quality of life.

And a little reassurance for pet owners: pets generally adapt incredibly well to having teeth removed - and often feel even better afterwards! 🐾
