Training is communication, not control 🦜

Positive reinforcement training helps build:
Trust
Confidence
Stronger relationships

Even simple training like:
✔ stepping up
✔ target training
✔ entering their cage calmly

can make everyday life easier for both you and your bird.

Small sessions. Big results.

Would you eat the same meal every day? 🦜

Our parrots deserve variety too!

Alongside a quality staple diet, many parrots enjoy:
🥕 fresh vegetables
🍎 bird-safe fruits
🌱 herbs and greens
🧩 enrichment through food foraging

Making mealtimes interesting helps encourage natural behaviours.

What is your bird’s favourite fresh food?

Why stainless steel?

Parrots are intelligent, curious and incredibly destructive which means their environment matters.

Stainless steel offers:
☆ Strength
☆ Longevity
☆ Hygiene benefits
☆ A clean appearance

When you’re investing in your bird’s home, choosing quality materials matters.

At Exotic Aviaries, we focus on products we would proudly use for our own birds.

Toy rotation tip 🦜

Does your parrot ignore their toys?

Try rotating them!

A toy that has been sitting in the cage for weeks can become “boring” but bring it back a month later and suddenly it’s exciting again.

We recommend having a variety of:
🌿 shredding toys
🔔 sound toys
🧩 puzzle toys
🪵 natural wood toys

How often do you rotate your bird’s toys?

One of the biggest training mistakes? Moving too fast. 🦜

Every bird learns differently.

Some parrots need:
✨ Confidence building
✨ Patience
✨ Repetition
✨ Time to understand what we’re asking

The goal isn’t a perfect trick it’s a confident bird who trusts you.

Exotic Aviaries is an Australian-owned parrot specialist offering quality stainless steel cages, custom aviaries, hand-raised exotic birds, premium bird food, toys and accessories. We combine years of breeding experience with practical products and advice to help parrots thrive.
