🐾💗 HAPPY VET NURSE DAY! 💗🐾

Today we’re celebrating the incredible vet nurses who make such a difference every single day at Brassall Vets! 🐶🐱

Our vet nurses are so much more than just an extra set of hands. They’re the comforters, the cuddles, the calm voices, the midnight worriers, the expert anaesthetic monitors, the surgical assistants, the cleaners, the problem-solvers and the ones who go above and beyond to make sure every patient receives the very best care. 🩺❤️

They celebrate the wins, comfort the worried, care for the sick, and give so much of their hearts to animals who can’t tell us what’s wrong. They also provide so much love and support to our clients during some of their hardest moments.

Veterinary nursing is a career filled with compassion, dedication, hard work and plenty of fur, slobber and the occasional bit of chaos! 😂🐾

To our amazing nursing team at Brassall Vets, thank you for everything you do. We are so incredibly lucky to have you, and our patients (and their humans!) are even luckier. ❤️

Please join us in celebrating and thanking all the wonderful vet nurses out there today! Give your favourite vet nurse a little extra love. 🥰🐾

Happy Vet Nurse Day! You are appreciated more than you know. 💕🐾

🐾💗 Meet Honey! 💗🐾

This gorgeous girl is Honey, a beautiful 5-month-old American Bulldog puppy who spent the day with us at Brassall Vets for her amputation surgery. 🐶💕

Dr Bec took extra special care of Honey today for her procedure, and this little sweetheart sailed through her surgery, waking up with a non-stop waggy tail 🥰

And while she was recovering, Honey was getting ALL the extra TLC from Demi in recovery! 💕🐾

Honey may be starting her journey as a three-legged wonder, but if there’s one thing we know about our furry friends, it’s that they don’t let a missing leg stop them from living life to the absolute fullest! ❤️🐶

With three legs, a whole lot of love and that gorgeous puppy spirit, we’re sure Honey will be running, playing and getting up to plenty of mischief in no time. 🥰🐾

Sending this beautiful girl all the love and cuddles as she begins her recovery back at home with her wonderful family 🩷🌸

🐱💗 Dr Phoebe has clearly found one of the best parts of the job — cuddles with our gorgeous feline patients! 🥰🐾

But this cuddle has an extra-special story behind it… 💕

Fourteen years ago, Nurse Deb helped this beautiful kitty who had been abandoned find her forever home 🥹❤️❤️❤️

It’s moments like these that really show us why we love what we do. Watching our patients grow, knowing their stories and getting to share in their lives over the years is one of the best parts of being a small, family-owned veterinary clinic. 🐾

There’s nothing quite like a purr, a cuddle and a little bit of love to brighten your day. 🐾❤️
And of course, Dr Phoebe was more than happy to provide the cuddles! 😻

From a little kitty looking for a home to a very loved patient — what a beautiful story. 💕🐱

🐾 DEMI IS BACK! 🐾💗

Our beautiful Demi is back at Brassall Vets and she is READY for all the cuddles! 🥰🐶🐱

Whether your fur baby is here for a check-up, surgery, vaccinations or just needs a little extra reassurance while staying over in hospital, Demi is on cuddle duty! 🤗❤️..along with all the other roles she plays here with us as one of our senior nurses!

We’re pretty sure the patients are just as excited to see her as we are! 🥹🐾.. Little Skittles who was in for a dental procedure was definitely glad to have Demi there for those post surgical snuggles 🥰🥰🥰

Welcome back, Demi! We’ve missed you! 💕

Today was Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Today we remember all those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and left paw prints forever on our hearts ❤️

Our pets may only be part of our lives for a short time, but the love, happiness and memories they give us stay with us forever..every wagging tail, gentle purr, wet nose, favourite toy and special moment🐾

We send our love to all of you who have been through having to say goodbye 🥹♥️🐾

Today was also an especially sad day for our beautiful Tara & Eryn and their family, with their Mum/Nana passing peacefully earlier this morning.

She fought hard, stayed strong and handled the inevitable so beautifully & positively. Im sure there were moments that weren't, but Im also sure the love and support she had from her family helped her, just as much as she seemed to try to help them all through it.

In Tara's words, she was a firecracker, unapologetically herself, and the bravest person she knew..must run in the genes T, as we would say the same about you, and your beautiful daughter our junior nurse Eryn who is following close in your footsteps 🫶 You are both so special to us and our team, patients & their humans.

Sending all our love to Tara, Jarrod, Eryn & Jamie, Greg & all your family 🥹❤️

To everyone reading this and sending love to T and her family, let it be a gentle moment to reflect on and appreciate the ones you have, human & fur, and treasure every moment in life you can💛💛💛

🚨 Wildlife Call Out! 🚨

We’ve had a recent influx of orphaned and injured native wildlife come through the clinic, and our supply of pouches and beanies is running low.

If you have any clean, handmade or pre-loved wildlife pouches or beanies that you’d be happy to donate, we’d be incredibly grateful. These little items provide warmth, comfort and security to our smallest patients while they recover.

Donations can be dropped into Brassall Veterinary Surgery during business hours.

Thank you for helping us care for our local wildlife. Every pouch really does make a difference. 💚

Has anyone met someone happier then Hazel? 💙

She is hanging out with us today for her desexing procedure. And honestly she has just made our whole day 🥰

She doesn’t even feel bad that she was not sad to see her dad go 😂

Have a Hazel day!!! And be happy 😃

We love when our patients come and find us out the back.

No fear
Just love. Oh and treats.

Miss Teel came in for a ear recheck today and thought it best to locate her treat dealer (Tara) out the back… and another cuddle from Dr Alannah 💙
