🐾 WILDLIFE CARE: What to do when you see this happen

This little ringtail possum lost his way and was found stranded on a branch in broad daylight? 😳

Ringtail possums have poor daytime vision making them completely defenseless against ground predators.

📣This from our client: ‘When the dogs started barking at the tree, we ran to find what all the ruckus was about and brought the dogs inside to eliminate the stress and threat.

We left the area quiet so the possum wouldn’t panic and fall. We went to call local wildlife rescue but he ran off and hope he is ok now.’

🐕 Domestic pets are one of the biggest threats to urban wildlife. The owners of these dogs did the right thing. By removing the dogs the possum was able to calm down and make its way to safety. 🐭

📣 Long weekend update with Kaz and Moxie.

🐾 Did you catch the howling in the background? 🤣 We promise all of our in clinic pets are fine. 💛

✨Tips from Kaz include:

🐶 Ensure your vaccinations are up to date if you’re planning on a kennel stay (and even if you’re not 😉)
💊 Make sure you have plenty of medication available to see you through the long weekend.
📝 Please have any requests in by lunch time Thursday.

Have a wonderful weekend!
