Bring your own horse, or I also have a few well educated school- horses available (extra cost involved).
Build a trust relationship with your horse, using your body to communicate to install soft cues.
We work on balance and bend to create a happy forward horse.

Our last day in a Paris was one of our favourites!

We braved the trains and headed an hour out into the countryside to the gorgeous town of Chantilly, famous for cream and lace, but also has an amazing horse museum!!

It was like a palace. Its builder liked deer hunting so it originally housed 200 horses and 500 hounds!!
This turned into racing and the Chantilly racecourse was built over the old hunting field.

Now it is a museum to the horse and they host a beautiful liberty show.

Unfortunately the show was only starting up again the next day, but instead we were privileged to sit and watch them rehearsing. Omg…it was amazing! The lady’s voice was like an instrument. She sang unassisted and in that stone dome the sound was phenomenal!

We chatted to one of the riders of the show and they turned out to be a friend of one of the WE Aussie team, and we instantly formed a friendship. We shared stories about each others horses and he showed us his team of 3 performing horses back stage. They were of course all gorgeous and well trained in liberty and tricks. The black horse is Ragnar who is a 7yo American Percheron Stallion. The other 2 were Andalusian/Arabian stallions. The bond between this man and his horses was very evident in the way they looked into each others souls and interacted so harmoniously.

He asked me to train him in Working Equitation for the next World Cup in 4 years so he can represent his country, so stay tuned!!!!

This is where we have been staying and riding in Portugal for the past week. 10 out of 10.
Beautifully educated and very handsome horses. Helpful and knowledgeable instructors. Top class indoor and outdoor arenas.
Amazing food. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. And did i mention the pool!!
We did a mixture of dressage, obstacles and trail ride. We rode a variety of horses and I couldn’t pick a favourite they were all so great.
We will be back!!

Indigo Equestrian is taking a short break while we head overseas to update our skills in Working Equitation.
After a few days in London, Kerry and I are off to ride Lusitanos in Portugal at a riding academy where we will have both dressage and obstacle lessons daily for a week.
Then we fly to Jerez, Spain, to attend the World Cup of Working Equitation. Then home via Paris.
Thanks so much to our wonderful family for looking after everyone at home.

Another week of wonderful lessons, client horses and a beautiful relaxing trail ride is coming near the end.
It’s just so wonderful to see so many riders just enjoying their horses. To me that’s what it’s all about.

Good luck to those heading off to the Yarrawonga ARC 3PE on the weekend.
