The honeymoon period is over… and suddenly your rescue dog has OPINIONS.

More barking.
More energy.
More pulling.
More mischief.
Maybe even behaviours you never saw at the beginning.

It’s easy to think:

β€œWhat happened? They were so good!”

But more behaviour doesn’t necessarily mean your dog is going backwards.

Sometimes it means they finally feel safe enough to be themselves.

As rescue dogs decompress, we often begin to see more of their personality β€” the wonderful bits, the quirky bits and sometimes the challenging bits too.

Don’t expect the dog you meet on Day 1 to be exactly the same dog you know several weeks or months later.

That’s part of the journey.

And in Snazzy’s case… apparently feeling safe meant unleashing this. πŸ˜‚
