Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of loving a dog.

Sometimes we know that goodbye may be getting closer. Sometimes it comes far sooner than we expected.

And afterwards, there can be grief, practical decisions and simply trying to work out how to navigate life without them.

I’ve created When It’s Time to Say Goodbye to provide compassionate, practical support through all of those stages — before, during and after the loss of your dog.

Those first few days and weeks can bring a lot of questions.

Is this normal?

After more than 10 years working in animal welfare and behaviour, I’ve seen how overwhelming those early weeks can feel — especially when you’re trying so hard to do the right thing.
