Jimjams Homestead held our buyer’s inspection last Sunday.
It was a great success with all our available kids finding new forever homes. They will be able to be with their new owners once they are weaned & received their booster injection.

Two weeks wasn’t enough time with you little Lemon 🍋

I have yoyo’d so much as to post this because I didn’t want to be seen as “bad” or “not professional” but this week alone I have seen some pretty big reputable farmers post about their losses and when my kids all “wanted to water lemon” I saw it as something that should be spoken about and not hidden away.

We lost lemon just shy of her being three weeks old in an accident that was both no one’s fault but also all my fault. It was a freak accident & our first loss at jimjams homestead so it hit hard and I honestly cried for days. “What if I didn’t go to netball, I would have been home on time” “if I didn’t enter the show I wouldn’t have been out all day” “if I had left early I might have been home sooner”. But nothing changes the fact I couldn’t bring her back.

We have since buried lemon and planted a lemon tree on top of her as a family, We water her daily & today the kids all water to “give her a drink” and between their bickering I noticed new growth on the tree that will forever be Lemon 🍋.

Good morning everyone!

Just a reminder that our buyers inspection day is next Sunday the 9th August. If you haven’t booked in yet there are only a few spaces available.

Below is the buying process -
1. Get in contact with us and we will share the catalogue
2. Book a inspection time and attend
3. Place a deposit to secure and will share our goat guide which covers the requirements for owning goats
4. Schedule a property visit so that we can check fencing, shelter and shade, and for ironwood
5. Get a PIC
6. Pick up your goats! Blackberry and moonpie are available now, all other at the end of August.

All of our goats are pedigree Nigerian dwarf. They are disbudded (hornless), wormed, vaccinated, disease free and weathered (boys).

12 months follow up care (including medication), 24/7 support and husbandry training is included in the price. Registration (as a pet) through the national body AABMGS is available at no extra cost and documents 6 generations of breeding lineage.
