I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who bought an animal off us this season.

We truly appreciate your support and we hope that you enjoy the critters for many years to come!

I also wanted to say a BIG thank you to Mat and Anita of Killer's Pythons for taking the last handful of lizards to last weekends expo and putting in the leg work whilst I juggled home life with another newborn.

In other news it looks like Midori is happily sitting on a clutch of pearly white eggs so hopefully I’ll have some greens available early next year!

1 week to go. Shaping up to be a good day. I hear more tickets have sold for this one than the one earlier on this year which is fantastic to see. Thankyou all for taking the time out to make this expo ( and every expo you go to ) a great success.

We will have a the last of the slow starters for the season, a couple from the previous season that are still looking for homes too. If you are looking to make a deal on multiple critters this is the one.

We will also be trailing a new information card system on the display and would love some feedback on how easy/difficult reading the information cards for each reptile is.

Also a reminder we will be manning the table for Luke from Beaches Scaly Beasts due to the arrival of his 2nd child. If you have been eyeing off some Gilleni you won't find better stock to add to your Gilleni army. I believe there will be several hatchies and possibly a male/female pair. Worth stopping by. Also for obvious reasons, any Gilleni sold will be sold under Luke's license and his details will be provided.

I also have to stress I am gaining nothing financially for doing so for Luke. He is a good friend I've made in the hobby and it is an honour to be able to help him out in what is a bit of a stressful time welcoming a new bun into the family.

I want to give a huge thank you to the Victorian herpetological society for having me last night. What an experience.

It was a pleasure to come down and meet so many of you in person and meet a lot of new people on the night.

Everyone’s hospitality was second to none and very warming. Thanks for putting me up for the night and keeping me watered and fed.

Thanks for everyone putting up with my nerves throughout the speech and for all the positive feedback afterwards.

I appreciated all of the questions and interactions.

Thanks to the VHS for the new shirts and the lovely red belly frame. That’s going straight up in the reptile room!

It was great to meet so many of you and hopefully doing so, some new friendships and doors have opened.

Special thanks to Mr Mexico for driving me to and from the airport and the yarns.

If I were to have one complaint it would be that my ride home after the event in Adams car didn’t come with heated seats! I think Jimbo’s complaints of a cold butt are warranted.

Jokes aside, thanks for bringing me down Adam and enjoy your upcoming trip! It sounds like it’s much deserved. I’d love to see the herps you find on your journey to live vicariously through you.

Also thanks to to Cindy and Marie for putting me up to the task and thinking I’d be a good candidate. Thank you!

I’ll be back to Melbourne and the VHS in the future.

Killer's Pythons are helping me out by having some of my goannas at the next expo in August.

Hopefully I’ll be able to make it but we will very much have a newborn child so strong chance of being tied up.

Our next meeting is drawing near and will be held on the 15th of July! For this meeting we’re excited to announce that Luke Nettheim from Beaches Scaly Beasts will be joining us for our July meeting!

Luke will be sharing his journey through the reptile hobby — from his early days as a beginner keeper through to the keeping methods and philosophies he uses today.

He’ll also discuss some of the incredible species he works with, along with the unique challenges and lessons they’ve presented along the way.

Whether you’re new to the hobby or a long-time keeper, this is a meeting you won’t want to miss!
