🚨 THIS IS WHY ON-LEAD AREAS EXIST 🚨

This morning, an off-lead dog ran up to one of my clients who is dog-reactive in an on-lead area.

No recall.
No attempt to retrieve the dog.

And this is the problem.

Not every dog is friendly.
Not every dog wants interaction.
And you don’t know what another dog is working through.

One moment like this can undo months of training.

If your dog is off lead, they need:
🤍 Reliable recall
🤍Immediate response when called
🤍Full control around other dogs

On-lead areas are not optional.

And if someone steps in to protect the dog they’re walking, that’s responsible handling, not something that should be met with swearing or hostility.

We all share these spaces, a bit of awareness goes a long way 😄
