During peak tick season, make it a habit to check your dog for ticks twice a day.

While you're checking, watch for signs of tick paralysis:
🐾 Sudden lethargy
🐾 Weakness or an unsteady gait
🐾 Laboured breathing
🐾 Changes in bark or voice
🐾 Vomiting, coughing, regurgitation, or decreased appetite

Tick paralysis is a medical emergency, but early treatment can prevent serious complications and improve recovery. If you notice any of these signs, contact your veterinarian straight away.
