As the weather warms up, tick activity increases. πŸ•·οΈ

Protect your pet by making daily tick checks part of your routine. Ticks aren't just found on bushwalks or outdoor adventures. They can also be hiding in your backyard and may even make their way indoors on shoes and clothing.

Early detection is one of the best ways to help prevent serious tick-borne illnesses and tick paralysis. Stay up to date with tick prevention, know the warning signs, and check your pets every day.

A quick daily check during a pat could make all the difference.

πŸ› While some pets may look a little miserable during bath time, regular baths are about much more than staying clean!

Regular bathing can help:

✨ Maintain healthy skin and coats: Quality pet shampoos help keep skin healthy and coats soft and shiny

πŸ’™ Support skin conditions: Medicated or soothing shampoos can help manage itchy, irritated or infected skin

🌿 Remove allergens: Washing away pollen, dust and other irritants may reduce skin flare-ups and discomfort

😌 Reduce grooming anxiety: Early, positive bathing experiences can help make grooming and vet visits less stressful

🐢 Support overall wellbeing: Using the right shampoo for your pet’s needs helps keep them comfortable, healthy and happy.

Our veterinary team is here to help you choose the right products and bathing routine for your pet, so they can look and feel their best πŸ’š

⏰ Just 1 month left to book your pet's FREE dental check!

Did you know that dental disease is one of the most common health issues affecting cats and dogs? The tricky part is that it often develops without obvious signs.

Plaque, tartar, and gum disease may seem minor, but left untreated, harmful bacteria can enter the bloodstream and potentially affect vital organs such as the heart, liver and kidneys.

A quick dental check can help identify problems early, keeping your pet healthier, happier, and more comfortable.

During July and August, all of our clients can access a FREE dental check. Plus, if your pet requires dental treatment following their assessment, you'll receive $100 OFF their dental procedure.

During peak tick season, make it a habit to check your dog for ticks twice a day.

While you're checking, watch for signs of tick paralysis:
🐾 Sudden lethargy
🐾 Weakness or an unsteady gait
🐾 Laboured breathing
🐾 Changes in bark or voice
🐾 Vomiting, coughing, regurgitation, or decreased appetite

Tick paralysis is a medical emergency, but early treatment can prevent serious complications and improve recovery. If you notice any of these signs, contact your veterinarian straight away.

Dogs and cats are experts at hiding pain, especially when it comes to their mouths 🐢🐱

Just because your pet is eating normally doesn't always mean their teeth and gums are healthy. Dental disease can develop quietly, often without obvious signs, which is why regular dental checks are so important.

Keep an eye out for these early signs of dental disease:
🦷 Persistent bad breath
🦷 Red or bleeding gums
🦷 Yellow or brown tartar near the gumline
🦷 Slow or cautious chewing
🦷 Pawing at the mouth or rubbing their face
🦷 Less interest in chew toys

Through July and August, we're offering:
βœ… FREE dental checks
βœ… $100 off all dental procedures

Did you know nearly 40% of pet microchips contain outdated information or aren't registered at all? 😲

If your pet ever goes missing, having the right identification could make all the difference in getting them home safely.

Here are 5 simple ways to keep them safe:

1️⃣ Microchip your pet - A microchip is the quickest way to reunite lost pets with their owners. Make sure your contact details are always up to date. If you’ve adopted a pet, don’t forget to transfer the chip into your name.

2️⃣ Collar up - Ensure your pet wears their collar whenever possible.

3️⃣ Add an ID tag - Include your pet’s name, 1 or 2 phone numbers, and even the word "Microchipped" on their ID tag.

4️⃣ Attach their council registration tag - This helps local councils contact you quickly if your pet is taken to a pound.

5️⃣ Consider a GPS tracker - For pets who love to roam, GPS collars let you track their location straight from your phone wherever you are.

Already ticked these 5 things off? Check in on a friend and make sure their pets are just as safe πŸ’š

🦷 Professional dental cleaning goes beyond what a toothbrush can do.

Many dental problems develop below the gumline, where they're impossible to see but can still cause pain, infection and discomfort for your pet.

Under anaesthesia, our veterinary team can:
βœ… Examine each tooth thoroughly
βœ… Take dental X-rays to find hidden issues
βœ… Remove plaque and tartar safely
βœ… Polish teeth to slow future build-up

For a limited time, we're offering:
🦷 FREE dental checks
πŸ’° $100 off all dental procedures
