Neale Taylor's life-long passion and fascination with kelpies led to the establishment of Giles Creek Kelpie Stud in 1995, at Holbrook NSW. From a young age, Neale was privileged to be mentored by Australian Kelpie Council foundation members Jack Body, Burt Bromham and Jim Luce. Neale's Journey as a shearing contractor, farmer and livestock manager, has seen Giles Creek produce some of Australia's
elite working kelpies. Founded on Coogee and Canyonleigh bloodlines, and later influenced by Philscreek, Broken River and Condover studs, Giles Creek kelpies are renowned for their stamina, hardiness, intelligence and natural ability. these traits have proven to be highly desirable amongst stud and commercial handlers. From farmers and searing contractors to Australia's biggest stage - the Australian Yard Dog Championships, Giles Creek Kelpies have proven their talent at every level. With stud objectives firmly focused on breeding traits which add value to farming enterprises and agricultural contractors, recent achievements have extended beyond the farmgate. 'Giles Creek Trapper' owned by Michael and Katrina Hedger from Snowy Plain Merino Stud at Berridale, won the 2019 New South Wales Open Yard Dog Championship. Other notable achievements include; 3rd 2018 New South Wales Championship (Giles Creek Tubby), 1st 2002 Improver New South Wales Yard Dog Championship (Canyonleigh Daisy) as well as many other local yard dog trials. In 2015, 'Broken River Ally' was purchased from Dale and Carolyn Thompson, in what was a major acquisition to the breeding program was made; Ally went on to produce Giles Creek Trapper.
