Please join us in welcoming one of our newest nurses Claire to the Vets of Geelong team!

Originally from London Claire completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing here in Australia in 2024 and has since been building her career doing what she loves.

Outside of work Claire enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, heading out for a good coffee and spending time with friends. She’s also kept busy at home by her two cats Mila and Florence.

We’re so excited to have Claire as part of the team and can’t wait for you to meet her around the clinic!

Beautiful Opal visited our Highton clinic last week for a dental procedure and an ear flush.

While she was under anaesthetic our team was able to give both of her ears a thorough clean and take a closer look at what was causing her some trouble. Her ears were flushed, cleaned and treated to help get them feeling much more comfortable.

Opal also received lots of care and monitoring from our team throughout her procedure and recovery.

Such a sweet girl to have in for the day. We hope you’re feeling much better Opal! ❤️

Another group of puppy class graduates!

We loved watching this group learn, grow in confidence and build plenty of new skills along the way.

Looking to get your puppy started? We have some upcoming Puppy & Adolescent Classes available:

Baby Puppy Classes | 8–12 weeks
- Monday 7th of September @ 7pm
- Tuesday 6th of October @ 5.30pm

Junior Puppy Classes | 12–20 weeks
- Wednesday 2nd of September @ 4pm
- Tuesday 8th of September @ 7pm
- Thursday 15th of September @ 5pm

Adolescent Classes | 5–12 months
- Monday 7th September @ 5.30pm
- Wednesday 7th of October @ 7pm
- Monday 19th of October @ 5.30pm

From building confidence and encouraging positive behaviours to learning practical skills you can continue at home, our classes are a great way to support your puppy as they grow.

Meet Ketria one of our new Vet Nurses!

Ketria has a real love for animals and is passionate about helping clients and their much loved pets be the happiest and healthiest they can be, one of the many reasons she loves being a Veterinary Nurse.

Outside of the clinic Ketria is an avid reader and loves nothing more than getting lost in a good book. Her perfect getaway involves beautiful scenery, exploring somewhere new with her dog and of course a good book in hand. She also loves discovering cosy bookshops, meeting new people and planning her next adventure.

We’re very happy to have Ketria join our team and look forward to you all getting to know her. Be sure to say hello when you see her around the clinic!

Meet Lauryn, our Highton Practice Coordinator!

Originally from the Adelaide Hills Lauryn or Loz as you’re welcome to call her is now enjoying calling Geelong home and getting to know everything the region has to offer.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Marine and Wildlife Biology, Lauryn’s love of animals has taken her down some pretty interesting paths. Before joining us, she worked as a team lead at an aquaculture business specialising in Barramundi, a slightly different kind of patient to the ones she now sees around Highton!

Outside of work Lauryn loves camping, hiking, reading and exploring new places. Having travelled around Australia, she’s no stranger to an adventure.

She’s also a very proud dog mum to two Golden Retrievers Louie and Dougal who we’re sure keep her well and truly on her toes at home.

If you see Lauryn around Highton make sure you say hello and if you have a great local dinner spot or hiking recommendation, even better!

We’re very lucky to have Lauryn leading the way at Highton and as part of our team 👏🏻
