We recognize that refilling your pet's medication may be necessary and provided we have examined your pet for this issue within the previous six months, this is not a problem. Vets cannot legally dispense prescription drugs (like Schedule 4 medications) if they have not physically examined your pet within the last six months. Please understand prescription medications may require ordering if our current stock is depleted. It is essential to note that prescriptions can only be written and dispensed by a Veterinarian.
As a result, if a consultation or surgery is in progress, you may need to wait or return at a later time. Given these circumstances, we kindly request that you notify the clinic in advance regarding any prescription medication needs. Although we understand that unexpected events may occur and we will strive to accommodate your requirements where we can, we would appreciate at least one week's notice to ensure that the required medication can be ordered and made available. This will help eliminate any disappointment or delays related to waiting for Dr. Maddy or inventory availability. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hearing from you soon.
