Does your dog struggle to relax in social settings? Are they always looking for the next exciting thing to do?

🐾 Thursday Doggy Daycare Fun! 🐾

Today’s daycare group was packed with our bigger, rough-and-tumble dogs, and they certainly made the most of their day! 💙

We enjoyed plenty of games of fetch, chased our best mates around the yard, had some friendly wrestling matches, and even squeezed in a good game of tug. There was no shortage of fun, excitement, and wagging tails! 🎾🐕💨

All the dogs played beautifully together, showed great manners, and had an absolute blast. We were also lucky enough for the rain to stay away, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors. ☀️

Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with happy dogs, lots of exercise, and plenty of smiles from both our four-legged and two-legged friends.

Here are some of our favourite photos from today’s adventures! 📸🐾❤️

🐾☀️ Wednesday’s Small Dog Doggy Daycare ☀️🐾

What a lovely day we had with our little daycare crew today!

The morning was spent making the most of the sunshine, with plenty of fetch, games, zoomies, and social time with friends. Everyone enjoyed running around, exploring, and soaking up the warm weather together.

When the rain finally arrived, our energetic group quickly transformed into a sleepy bunch of pups. After all that fun, everyone was more than happy to settle down for a well-earned nap while listening to the rain outside. 💤🌧️

Here are some of the photos I managed to snap before the weather turned! 📸

Thank you to all our wonderful daycare dogs for another fantastic day full of fun, friendship, and plenty of wagging tails. ❤️🐶

☀️🐾 Tuesday Doggy Daycare Fun! 🐾☀️

After a cloudy start, the sun finally made an appearance and we made the most of it!

Today’s crew enjoyed plenty of fun chasing toys, playing wrestling games, and even having a kick of the football around the yard. 🏈 Otis was definitely the football superstar of the day and couldn’t get enough of it!

Meanwhile, Coke spent some quality time under the veranda with Pepper and Pickles, who were very happy to have their friend join them. ❤️

Pepsi gave us a good laugh when she decided the perfect place to relax was directly in front of her name, which had been drawn on the cement in chalk. Clearly she knows exactly where she belongs! 🐶🎨

From zoomies to sunbaking, cuddles to playtime, it was a fantastic Tuesday filled with happy dogs, wagging tails, and plenty of smiles.

🐾 Monday Group Training – Week 2 🐾

What a fantastic second session with our Monday training group!

This week we focused on:
✅ Heel
✅ Stay
✅ Wait
✅ Recall

Every dog gave 110% effort, and it was wonderful to see the progress being made across the board. Training isn’t always about perfection—it’s about building confidence, understanding, and strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners.

Some of our pups are still feeling a little unsure and shy in the training environment, but they continue to show up and try their best each week, which is exactly what we love to see. 💙

A special shout-out to Miss Roxie, who arrived with a fantastic attitude and heaps of positive energy today. Her confidence and engagement have improved tremendously, and it was amazing to see her progress on display.

Another special mention goes to Zion, who showed a much gentler mouth and far more patience during today’s session. His improvements are a credit to the hard work being put in both at training and at home.

Overall, it was a wonderful session filled with learning, progress, and plenty of happy dogs. We can’t wait to see what everyone achieves next week! 🐕✨

Wally’s Training Session 🐾💛

Straight after Chance, I headed off to see Wally, a super excited and enthusiastic Golden Retriever who loves life, loves people, and most importantly… loves food!

Wally struggles to contain himself around both snacks and friends. If you’ve got food in your hand, there’s a good chance Wally has already spotted it and is planning his next pickpocketing attempt. When it comes to people, he just wants to shower everyone with big slobbery kisses, which often results in plenty of jumping.

While Wally’s intentions are nothing but love and excitement, these aren’t behaviours we want him practising long-term.

During today’s session, we started teaching Wally that waiting politely for snacks is far more rewarding than trying to help himself. We also laid the foundations for calm greetings, showing him that sitting and waiting earns him far more attention, affection, and success than jumping ever will.

Wally picked up the training incredibly quickly and showed Mum just how smart he really is. He was eager to learn, enthusiastic to work, and fully engaged throughout the session.

Of course, being a Golden Retriever, I’m fairly certain his motivation wasn’t entirely the learning process itself… it may have had something to do with the food involved! 😂🍖

Wally has a fantastic attitude towards training, and with some consistency and practice at home, I have no doubt he’ll continue making great progress.

Well done, Wally and Mum! 💛🐾

Chance’s First Training Session 🐾

Today we met Chance, an 8-month-old German Shepherd who is beginning his training journey with us.

Chance didn’t have the easiest start to life medically, which meant he was unwell during some of those crucial socialisation and exposure periods. As a result, he’s finding it difficult to contain his excitement and emotions when other dogs are around.

Like many young, intelligent dogs, Chance has also discovered that winding Mum up can be quite entertaining, and he’s not particularly fond of being left on his own. These are all very common behaviours, and sometimes both dog and owner just need a little extra guidance to navigate them.

During today’s session, we focused on setting clear boundaries and laying the foundations for a calmer, more balanced dog. We started teaching Chance that there are better ways to interact with the world around him and that not every thought needs to become an action.

One thing became obvious very quickly—Chance is incredibly smart. He picked up on body language, cues, and training concepts almost immediately. While that’s a huge advantage, it also comes with its own challenges. Highly intelligent working breeds like German Shepherds are experts at testing boundaries, finding loopholes, and keeping their humans on their toes!

Chance has so much potential, and with consistency, structure, and clear communication, we know he’s going to make fantastic progress.

We’re excited to follow his journey and help Mum build the skills and confidence she needs so that life with Chance becomes a little more relaxing and a lot more enjoyable. ❤️🐕

🐾🎓 SATURDAY GROUP TRAINING – WEEK 1 🎓🐾

What a fantastic start to our latest group training course this morning! Everyone put in an incredible effort, and all of our dogs settled in beautifully. 🐶👏

Today we focused on building strong foundations, including:

✅ Name recognition
✅ Introducing our “YES” marker
✅ Sit
✅ Drop
✅ The beginnings of luring and handler engagement
✅ Creating excitement and motivation for training

We also worked through some reactivity throughout the session. Most of it was excitement-based, and it was great to see both dogs and handlers making positive progress while learning how to work through those moments successfully.

By the end of the session, all of the dogs were confidently practising their commands and showing some excellent understanding of the skills we introduced today. Most importantly, everyone had fun while learning! 🎉

A huge congratulations to all of our handlers and pups for a brilliant first week. We can’t wait to see everyone’s progress continue over the coming weeks! 🐾❤️
