Meet Frankie! 🐾

This tiny little Italian Greyhound came in for his vaccination and was quite possibly the cutest little patient we’ve had in our hands! 🥹

Frankie was so teeny, he practically fit in the palm of our hands. 🥰

Safe to say, we were all a little bit obsessed! 💚

Congratulations to Natasha! Tash received the award for ‘2026 Nurse Mentor of the Year’. We are incredibly proud of her for this well deserved achievement. She is an integral part of Greencross Caloundra and the team would be lost without her!

Bird flu is making headlines, so Better Homes & Gardens asked Greencross Vets what it means for our pets.

Greencross Vets veterinarian Dr Nina shares practical advice to help pet parents understand the risks and take simple precautions.

“Bird flu can infect all mammals, so dogs, cats, rabbits and ferrets can all be infected.”

From avoiding contact with sick or dead wildlife to keeping cats indoors and dogs on a leash around wildlife, a few simple steps can help reduce exposure.

The best things really do come in pairs! From matching outfits to matching dental procedures Ace and Zero went through it all together. 🐾🥺

Ziggy came in for his castrate last week! 🐶💙 He was just too cute to resist, so naturally, he spent most of the day getting cuddles from the team! 🥰

🖤 A majestic visitor who never should have needed a trip to the vet.

This beautiful black swan was found with a fishing hook stuck in its mouth - a painful and completely preventable injury caused by discarded fishing gear.

Removing the hook required a general anaesthetic, along with pain relief to keep this feathered patient comfortable while we treated them. 🦢

A reminder to all anglers: please take your fishing line, hooks and tackle home with you or use a designated disposal bin. The Victorian Fisheries Authority advises that old fishing line should be placed in bins, or if there are no bins available, taken home, cut up and disposed of in general waste. Their Seal the Loop program also provides dedicated bins for unwanted fishing line, hooks, netting and rope. (VFA)

Discarded fishing gear can cause entanglement, injury and even death to wildlife. A few extra seconds to dispose of your gear properly can make a huge difference. 💔

🎣 Fish responsibly. Dispose responsibly. Protect our wildlife. A big thanks for the wildlife careers for bringing this amazing swan in and thanks to our team for helping 🫶🏼

Pepsi is in her 🌟 Brave Girl Era 🌟

She was so brave after her desexing procedure recently that she received a hand drawn Bravery Certificate! Here she is pictured with Nurse Caitie having some post surgery cuddles 🥰

🐾✨ Stella’s surgery success! ✨🐾

Sweet 11-year-old Stella recently underwent an emergency cystotomy with us to remove bladder stones. 🩺💗

After her procedure and a little time to recover, Stella is now doing amazingly well so far and almost back to being her happy self! 🥰🐶

We’re so pleased to see this beautiful girl feeling comfortable and healthy again. 💕

To our valued clients,

Below we have some COVID-19 protocols & information to assist with reducing the risk of transmission & getting your pets to us as safely as possible at this time 🦠

Greencross Helensvale Square please ask that you:
🔸 Avoid visits if you are experiencing flu like symptoms, especially coughing & sore throats
🔸 Avoid handshaking, greet us with a nod or a smile 😺
🔸 Avoid visits if you have been overseas in the last two weeks
🔸 If your pet needs to come in but you think you may be unwell or have been overseas in the last 2 weeks, please ask a family member or friend to bring them
🔸 Please use our hand sanitiser at reception upon arrival & departure
🔸If you would prefer to wait in your car, rather than our waiting room, please phone reception to inform us of your arrival

There is currently no known reason to believe that any pets in Australia can spread COVID-19.
To date, the Australian Veterinary Association has not received any reports of pets becoming sick with COVID-19.
We always recommend following everyday preventive hygiene actions to help prevent the spread of illness

Please feel free to phone the clinic on 5529 8012 should you have any further questions.

Many thanks,
The Greencross Helensvale Square Team 💚

We are so happy to be a part of Dumplings journey to finding a new home and well done to Labrador Rescue and Ash from Petbarn Arundel for the awesome work they do.

Our little Dumpling has become a massive social media star, her story has been shared far and wide by our supporters, celebrities, news sites, it’s been overwhelming!

In great news for her she has a meet and greet today with a wonderful family and we hope it a perfect match! 😍😍

We’d like to say a huge thank you to her fantastic foster family, to Greencross Vets Helensvale who provided us with a great discount on her eye removal surgery, and of course Petbarn stores on the Gold Coast who are always so supportive of us and raise so much money for all our dogs!

Hello to our lovely community. We're in desperate need of some new towels in the clinic. If you are doing a spring clean we would appreciate any donations! Darcy the rescue dog says thank you!

There is no greater feeling for us here at Greencross Vets Helensvale Square than one of our patients getting to go home again with their loving family. Thank you for choosing us to help Arnie 🥰

An update from Arnie's Mum - "Arnie is home!!! Although we are not out of the woods just yet the Greencross vets in Helensvale saved his life. Arnie either had a seizure as a result of heatstroke during his anxiety attack or had a seizure that lead to heatstroke. He is alive which is the biggest blessing for our little family as only 1 in 3 dogs survive heat stroke as intense as what Arnie had it! The vet also notified us to the fact that they really didn't think he was going to make it through."
