The clinic used to be a BP Service Station and was converted to a Veterinary Clinic by well-known Geelong Football Club player, Rod Blake. The clinic was taken over by Sally Adams up until 2009 when Geelong local Sally Upham bought it and renovated it. In 2014 Chloe McGillivray, Bryan Benshoof and Nev Hooper took over and are continually trying to improve and grow the clinic. Many loyal clients ha

ve been bringing their pets to us ever since the clinic first opened its doors as they know their pets are in such great hands. The staff at North Geelong Vet Clinic are passionate about their jobs and they will love your pets, just like you do. They are committed to providing your pets with the highest standard in veterinary care and to ensuring that your pets live a healthy and pain-free life. The staff are also dedicated to supporting, educating and helping you to be the very best owner that you can be. The more educated you are, the more illnesses that can be prevented for your pet. The clinic underwent a complete transformation recently to include state of the art equipment and modern facilities to ensure that the North Geelong Vet Clinic keeps up with the advances in technology and that your pets are treated using the highest quality methods.

Watch out in spring 🌼

With sunnier days brings a few things to be mindful of with our beloved pets:

🪻 Watch for the signs of bee stings and insect bites including swelling, vomiting and difficulty breathing.
🪻 Keep hyacinths, tulips and daffodils far away from all pets. Lillies in particular are extremely dangerous to cats.
🪻 Spring commonly brings seasonal allergies, resulting in itchy skin, ear issues and irritated feet.
🪻 Garden chemicals, particularly snail bait, can be incredibly poisonous to pets. Immediate veterinary attention is warranted.
🪻 Grass seeds can stick themselves into many areas of the body. Be mindful on walks or after playing outside.

Deciduous tooth removal 🦷

Occasionally, baby teeth fail to fall out as adult teeth are coming through. This can cause issues such as overcrowding, a painful abnormal bite (malocclusion) and rapid decay of the teeth.

Like in sweet Rudy’s case, this means the teeth need to be manually removed by a veterinarian. Thanks Dr Bryan! 🧡
