Canine Enrichment Attendant
Casual | 3 days per week

Hamilton Doggy Daycare is looking for a reliable, energetic, curious and kind person to join us.

We provide enrichment-based daycare experiences that focus on canine socialisation, sensory enrichment and behavioural training.

This is a hands-on role involving outdoor work, assisting with enrichment activities, transporting dogs to and from daycare in our doggy bus, maintaining the park and equipment, and interacting with our wonderful clients.

Every day is different here. No two dogs are the same — and neither are the days. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn about dog behaviour while making a genuine difference in the lives of dogs and their owners.

An interest in dog behaviour, psychology and/or training would be highly regarded, but qualifications or previous industry experience are not essential, as training will be provided. What matters most is that you’re dependable, genuinely love dogs, enjoy working with people, can work both independently and as part of a small team, and aren’t afraid of a bit of mud, sunshine and hard work!

With no proper words at the moment… it’s with great sorrow that I share the sudden passing of my precious Benjen earlier this week. Thank you so much to the wonderful people at both and for doing all they could to save him. Thank you too to the huge community of people and animals, both locally and afar, who so loved this gentle giant. A friend told me this week that Ben was a gentleman first and a dog second. Those words couldn’t have been truer. He was a friend to so many and a rock in my life. I will love you forever my perfect boy. 💔

Luca got himself home in the early hours this morning. A shattered front leg and looking like he’d been shot in the chest. How my angel dragged himself home to me in that state I’ll never know. But he clearly desperately just wanted his mummy. 💔 I had my sweet boy put to sleep at 1am this morning. The damage was just too great and this was the kindest option. Thank you so much for your kind messages and for sharing my original post. 🙏

Hi my Hamilton peeps,
My sweet floofy snuggle buddy, Luca (a desexed, Male, Ragdoll), has been missing for 2 nights/3 days (last seen at 7:15am on Tuesday morning). He’s an indoor cat 99% of the time so isn’t wearing a collar. He is microchipped. I live in Digby Road, Hamilton. He’s a sooky-la-la, but is also very scared of strangers - so if someone happens upon him, he’s unlikely to let you approach without running away. If anyone has seen my boy or heard of a kitty who could be him loitering about somewhere out there in the big world, please let me know. 🙏 Luca photos attached (he loves helping his Mum in the veggie garden)…🥹🩷
