At 7:30pm on 4th September Ariel delivered her 4th foal - a filly by Elleon White Knight.
This is the third time we've done this cross and the first filly, yay!
She's fewspot, unsure of her base colour until we test.
She's already had a little adventure by getting out of the yard. I heard a kerfuffle at 6am with Ariel screaming blue murder. Rushed outside and there's Ariel standing at her gate screaming out for her foal, which i could see wasn't with her. Holy fk.
Upon getting closer I saw the foal outside of the paddock, tucked between the 1000L water cube and the float shed.
I craddled her between my arms and shuffled her along to the gate, both of us falling over twice in the process. I can vouch that newborn foals are HEAVY and not only that, not the most amicable when being shoved about in such a manner. At one point we both fell over, me on top of her. Safe to say she's had her initial handling.
Mother and bub reunited and a happy human because it could have been a disaster.
