🐾 This poor little kitty desperately needed a groom! 🐾
Over time, regular grooming had been missed, and dense matting had developed around the neck, under the shoulders, across the stomach and in between the legs.
Ideally, we would have been able to deshed and take the length off, but unfortunately, the matting was too severe. Today, the safest and kindest option was a lion clip to remove the painful mats and give this little one a fresh start. 🦁✂️
Now we can start growing the coat back from scratch and, with regular grooming, keep it healthy and comfortable moving forward. ❤️
⚠️ Matting is more than just a cosmetic issue. Severe mats can pull tightly on the skin, cause sores and irritation, restrict movement, and create significant discomfort. They can also pull around joints and sensitive areas, making everyday movement painful.
Regular brushing and professional grooming can help prevent mats from becoming this severe.
