Farewell, Roger 💚

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Roger, our beloved 24-year-old green tree frog, clinic mascot, morale officer, and chief greeter, was peacefully put to sleep on Monday, 1st of June, after a short battle with illness.

Roger has been with Dr. Kim for 24 years, but for the past three he has greeted clients from his tank in reception, posed patiently for countless photos, accepted compliments with dignity, and occasionally reminded everyone of his presence with a mighty croak. His sweet face and sticky little hands made him a favourite among staff and visitors.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who stopped to say hello, showed him affection, or simply smiled when they saw him. All of the love and attention you gave Roger made his retirement years richer and happier.

The clinic feels a little quieter without him, and he will be deeply missed by all of us.

Thank you for loving Roger as much as we did. 💚🐸

Hello… um… hi. I’m Charlie. I’m a 10-year-old, desexed gentleman with a handsome dilute ginger and white coat and what humans like to call a “resting grumpy face.” (I promise—it’s just my face. I’m not actually judging you. Probably.)

🐾 My Personality
I’m a bit shy and nervous at first, especially in new places or with new people. But if you give me time, patience, and kindness, I’ll slowly come out of my shell—and when I do, I’m very affectionate. I’m the kind of cat who forms deep bonds and truly appreciates the humans who earn my trust.
Think of me as a slow-burn love story 💛

🌱 My Story
I came into care of Hallam Vet after my previous owner sadly passed away, and I’m now looking for a calm, understanding home where I can feel safe and loved again. I may be older, but I still have plenty of love left to give..

🦷 A Note on My Health
I’ve had most of my teeth removed due to dental disease—but don’t worry! I still happily eat both dry and wet food and feel much more comfortable these days.
I’m currently feeling well with no ongoing health issues, but as I ease into my senior-gentleman era, Hallam Vet has kindly offered to support my care with half-price vaccinations and an extra free health check each year for the next three years.

🏡 My Ideal Home
• Indoor-only, or with a secure cat run
• A quiet, patient home where I can settle at my own pace
• I’ve previously lived with other cats and may do well with a calm feline companion
