Did you know 4 out of 5 Australian pets over the age of three have dental disease? 🐶🐱
They often suffer from painful gums or bad breath in silence. This month is the perfect time to start a healthy home brushing routine!
Daily is ideal but 3 times a week is a practical target if daily brushing isn’t achievable.
Got a stubborn pet? Don’t panic! If brushing is a no-go, you can still fight plaque with:
•Veterinary-approved dental diets
•Water additives in their bowl
•Enzymatic gels smeared on their lips
•Long-lasting dental chews to scrape away tartar
•Note on bones: Traditionally, raw bones were given to dogs to chew to keep teeth clean. While they may do a good job, they are also the most common reason we see dogs break teeth and can be a major choking hazard. This is why we don’t recommend bones and suggest dental chews instead!
