Important Update from Labella:

Our lesson horse riding program is currently on pause, meaning we are not offering any services involving our lesson horses at this time. This decision has been made to allow our horses the opportunity to enjoy the rest, recovery and care they deserve while we reassess the future direction of our riding program.

While this chapter has been incredibly difficult, we firmly believe putting our horses first is the right decision.

Labella Equestrian is still operating, and we’re pleased to continue offering:

Today, we’d like to take a moment to recognise and thank two incredible members of the Labella Equestrian team.

Kaylyn and Alydia have each played an important role in helping shape the welcoming and supportive community that Labella has become.

To our wonderful students and families, thank you for embracing them as coaches and allowing them to be part of your riding journeys. Whether it was helping a nervous rider find confidence, celebrating a personal achievement, or simply sharing a smile around the stables, both Kaylyn and Alydia have made a positive difference to so many people.

Kaylyn, thank you for your unwavering dedication, professionalism and genuine care for every student and horse you worked with. Your initiative, reliability and ability to connect with riders made you an invaluable part of the Labella team, and your contribution will never be forgotten.

Alydia, thank you for your enthusiasm, willingness to learn and the professionalism you brought to coaching from such a young age. Your positive attitude and commitment to both your students and the behind-the-scenes tasks have been greatly appreciated, and it has been wonderful to watch your confidence grow.

While their time with Labella has come to an end, the impact they’ve had on our riders, horses and community will remain.

Happy Retirement, Lorax! 🤍

This week we made the difficult decision to officially retire Lorax from our lesson program.

Over the years, he has patiently taught countless riders, built confidence and created memories that will last a lifetime. While it’s never easy saying goodbye to a lesson horse, his wellbeing will always come first.

Thank you for everything you’ve given, Lorax. You’ve earned every peaceful day ahead of you, and we can’t wait to watch you enjoy life in the paddock.

Following each session, owners receive a detailed Equine Bodywork Evaluation Sheet outlining the areas assessed, key findings, body-mapping diagrams and personalised recommendations. This makes it easy to understand what was identified during the session, monitor changes over time and confidently support your horse moving forward.

A Message from Labella Equestrian

At Labella Equestrian, our horses have always been, and always will be, at the heart of everything we do.

On Thursday, one of our much-loved lesson horses experienced a serious colic episode. Thankfully, they are now recovering well, but it gave us the opportunity to stop, reflect and ask ourselves an important question...

Are we doing enough for the horses that give so much to us?

After a great deal of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to significantly reduce the workload of our lesson horses. Moving forward, our lesson program will operate with fewer horses in work, ensuring that one horse is always resting and receiving the recovery time they deserve.

As a result, we’ll also be reducing the number of lessons we offer each week.

This has meant making some incredibly difficult decisions, including saying goodbye to valued clients. These decisions have been heartbreaking, but we firmly believe they are the right ones for the long-term health and wellbeing of our horses.

Our lesson horses are far more than just horses that carry riders—they are teachers, confidence builders, trusted friends and cherished members of the Labella family. Every smile, achievement and milestone our riders experience is because of their patience, generosity and willingness to give their all.

Now it’s our turn to give something back.

Thank you to our wonderful clients for your understanding, kindness and ongoing support as we navigate these changes together. Your compassion for our horses is one of the many reasons we’re so proud of the community we’ve built.

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for Labella Equestrian—one built on sustainability, quality and, above all else, putting our horses first.
