🔥 BomBirra Spring Clinic 2025 🔥

The first edition of our “How to Build a Polo Player” series brought riders, coaches and supporters from across Australia and abroad — with ticket holders travelling from Paraguay, South Africa, New Zealand, Tasmania, Queensland and Victoria.

Over two days we focused on building stronger partnerships with our horses, striking the ball with greater consistency, and approaching the game with more strategy, awareness and feel.

Our riders learned from an exceptional team:
• .motum.movement from .movement on mobility and body awareness for polo.
• Abbey from on fueling performance before, during and after games.
• Tash from with a world-class dressage display on effective horse movement - special mention to high performance dressage rider .mitchell87 for helping out
• sharing leadership and technical clarity from the top level.

We were proud to have , in partnership with , supporting the weekend and providing our riders with access to their premium gear — a relationship that will continue through future clinics and the season ahead.

The weekend had it all — Greg Hailstone on the BBQ both days, and a huge Saturday-night dinner at the , where Craig and his team put on an incredible spread and we danced the night away (with a few slow starters on Sunday morning).

Special thanks to for flying down to assist with coaching and grooming, and to our incredible Farm Manager for keeping everything running seamlessly behind the scenes.

Bonnie – 5yo Thoroughbred mare
By Better Than Ready out of Hepburn (Exceed and Excel × Octagonal), her breeding carries that rare mix of speed, scope and balance with a touch of class you can’t teach. She moves exactly how she looks – smooth, strong and composed.

We had a light stick and ball in a snaffle this week after she helped riders at our first clinic. Calm, intelligent, and right on time to step into her first full season.

It’s been a full and vibrant start to spring here in the Hills 🌱🐎✨

Client horses are flowing through September and October on full programs — from breaking in and retraining to conditioning, exposure, sales and polo. A brand new full-size arena is taking shape as part of the equine facility we’re building, while 12 beautiful BomBirra polo ponies have been humming along in steady work.

Across the property the pastures, frontage and spaces are being refined, adding to the momentum as we prepare for the season ahead.
