Yoogali Veterinary Centre, previously Griffith Animal Hospital, opened on April 28, 2014, and has been rapidly growing over the last 5 years. In March 2019, the business moved into a new purpose built facility in Yoogali. Owner Dr Kim Martel has previously owned and managed successful veterinary hospitals as well as teaching at Charles Sturt University. We have 6 veterinarians including Kim, Jill,

Alice joined our team earlier this year as a new-grad Veterinarian. Some of you may have already seen her in the clinic. From chooks to dogs, cats, cows and horses (and just about anything else that comes through the door) - Alice is eager to take on a wide variety of cases and continue growing her skills across all areas of veterinary practice.

Pumpkin came in for her desexing procedure today and was the most adorable little bundle of fluff! She was lucky enough to have cuddles with our trainee nurse, Bobbie before and after surgery!

Did you know dental disease is the most common health condition in dogs and cats, affecting 80% of them by age 3?! CRAZY! 😱

There are many signs/symptoms of dental disease --> 🦠
- Smelly breath
- Inflamed/red/bleeding gums
- Yellow and or brown tartar buildup
-Reluctant to eat food
- Pawing at mouth

Pictured below is Rosie's before and after photos from her dental procedure where she underwent scaling and polishing of all teeth and a few extractions too! We had her pearly whites back in no time 😁

Meet Apollo, who had a run-in with a brown snake last week. His owners rushed him into the clinic, where he received anti-venom, intravenous fluids and intensive care (including ventilation for 7 hours!).
After six days in hospital, we can happily share Apollo is back at home with his family.
A big shout out to the dedicated team and this very tough patient for pulling through the ordeal!
