UPDATE: It is with heavy hearts, we want to let you know that poor Boo was located today but unfortunately she had already made her journey to rainbow bridge. Our hearts are with Boo's family during this difficult time. 🌈❤️‍🩹🐾

************

One of our beautiful customers went missing with his support dog last week and was found Sunday, but his dog Boo is still missing. If you can help with the search effort in any way, please do. They are wanting help with sharing flyers, searching in and around Greensborough and The Gorge, etc. I believe drones are drones are going out today to search for her in case she is stuck somewhere unsearchable in The Gorge.

We are hoping for a speedy return home with Boo.

❤️‍🩹🐾

💔 Sadly Boo was found passed away 😭 RIP Boo 🌈

🐾HELP BRING BOO HOME🐾
🛟 UPDATE: 04.06 Still Missing - Owner was found without shoes and pants and was muddy. If anyone finds shoes or pants, possibly along the Plenty River, please do a location pin drop on maps and make contact asap.

🐾 MISSING DOG – BOO 🐾
We urgently need your help to bring Boo home. 💔

🗺️ Greensborough / Plenty Gorge Area, Victoria

🐕 Boo’s owner was reported missing on 28th May 2026 📅 and was last seen with Boo on 29th May 2026 near WaterMarc Greensborough 👀

On 31st May 2026, Boo’s owner was thankfully found near Plenty and Gorge Rd after being seen exiting The Gorge from Teatree Drive — however, Boo was not with him and remains missing 💔

⚠️ It is currently unknown whether Boo was on a lead or not, and given she is elderly, there is concern she may be hurt or stuck.

📍 At this stage, Boo may still be lost somewhere in or around Plenty Gorge Reserve.

📍 Boo and her owner frequently walk the Plenty River Track, visit the Whatmough Park area, and the Greensborough Plaza area.

🐶 About Boo:
• Elderly female dog 🐾
• Likely frightened, confused and searching for her owner 💔
• May be hiding or stuck in The Gorge or nearby areas 🌳

If you see Boo:
⚠️ Please do not chase if she appears frightened
📸 Take a photo if possible
📍 Note the exact location
🕒 Include the date and time seen

📢 Please share far and wide — especially around Greensborough, Plenty Gorge, Bundoora, Mill Park, Diamond Creek, and surrounding areas.

Every share, every sighting matters and could help get this beautiful girl safely back home. 🩷🐾

Check out our new daycare service at the shop. Suitable for babies and puppies, there is enough space in the pen for playtime and snuggles, building a positive association to each other. Two birds, one stone.

Don't forget the free snacks 🐽

When you start the morning wary of each other, but after some guided interactions from Mum, a friendship forms. 🐾🫶🏻
Blue is having his first holiday at The Pawfectionist while his owners unwind from their wedding on Saturday. Blue was unsure about the little people in the house but quickly learned they can provide pats and treats so they're just as fun and safe as the adults in our house.

When a business gets as old as ours, we find ourselves in the inevitable moment, that our client dogs don't live as long as us and are now making their way over Rainbow Bridge.

One of those beautiful souls is Alfie, or as we came to know him, Alfenstein.
Alfie was a daycare regular here for several years, spending his weekdays with us and worming his way permanently into our hearts. A Cavalier x Poodle x Labrador x Staffy mix, the name Alfenstein turned out to be more fitting than we ever realised — a magnificent mashup of breeds that somehow produced one pawfect dog.

Alfie was a seasoned traveller, having made the journey from New Zealand to Australia early in his life, and eventually making his way back home in 2017. He had a lot to say about all of it. Alfie was a talker, with a soft whine, sometimes a bark, that let you know exactly what was on his mind. He reminded us so much of our Luke, just a bigger version.
Run free over Rainbow Bridge, Alfenstein. You were one of a kind. Play hard with Luke and Freya over there.

On ANZAC Day we remember the soldiers who served, and the animals who served beside them.

Dogs were messengers, trackers, and constant companions. Horses carried soldiers and supplies. Donkeys carried the wounded. Pigeons carried messages home.

The bond between humans and animals runs deep, and on days like today we're reminded just how far back it goes. Today we honour both.

Lest we forget. 🌺🪖🐾

🌈 A Rainbow Bridge post we’ve needed time to find the words for 🌈

Some dogs leave paw prints so deep that it takes a while to speak their name.
Misty was one of those dogs.
When we met her at 18 months old, Misty was overwhelmed and reactive — lunging and barking at people and dogs, trying to keep herself safe. Before coming to us, her owner had already sought help and was told things no one should hear: unfixable, unpredictable, consider euthanasia.
We didn’t see a lost cause.
We saw a dog who didn’t yet feel safe.
Misty taught us that reactivity isn’t who a dog is — it’s what they’re experiencing. With time, patience, and an owner who refused to give up, she changed. Not because she was “fixed,” but because she was understood.
She learned to be calm around people.
She learned to coexist with all dogs.
She learned she didn’t need to protect herself anymore.

Misty also became part of our home when her owner travelled and helped pave the way for a second Cane Corso in her pack. She was proof that beginnings don’t define endings.
On December 30th, Misty crossed the Rainbow Bridge 🌈 after a long life, facing cancer and arthritis with quiet dignity.
We loved Misty. We will miss her.
And we are forever grateful — because she was one of our teachers.
If you’re reading this while being told your dog is “too much”: your dog is not broken. Holding on is an act of love 🐾❤️‍🩹

Run free over Rainbow Bridge, Misty 🌈🐾❤️‍🩹
