Gorgeous kind words and update from Ladeda hallows Eve aka Veila’s mum Naomi
A little Veila/Evie update🥰
She’s now 17 weeks old and honestly seems to be thriving.
She absolutely loves be ing outside for exactly the reason you said, birdwatching, bee watching, fly chasing 😹 exploring every little thing, and just taking the world in 🌿🐦
We took our first overnight trip together to an Airbnb on the East Coast and she surprised me with how confidently she handled it. After the 1hr drive (which she slept through the entire time 😹), she arrived with her tail up, trilling, exploring every room, playing, eating, grooming, and then sleeping and dreaming on her blanket as though she’d lived there her whole life. 😹
She’s adventurous and curious. The catio has become one of her favourite places, and she’s started testing boundaries a bit more, looking for new places to explore and wanting to follow me and my housemate (Alexandra) everywhere 🥹 She’s definitely entering that “the world is sooo interesting” stage xx
Socially she’s INCREDIBLE. She’s met lots of new people this week, a guide dog in training, visitors like the postman, neighbours and family coming and going. Through all of it she’s been so calm, confident, curious and acting as though she is completely used to it.
She’s more independent while still so affectionate and loving 🥰
She’ll choose to nap in pretty much every room of the house, check in with me throughout the day, then wander off to do her own thing (with her mostly interested in Noodle whenever he is around 😸) before coming back for cuddles.
Her relationship with Noodle is deepening too. They’re starting to spend more time relaxing and sleeping together rather than her constantly trying to play with him 😹 It’s lovely seeing them become so comfortable with each other.
