Meet Frankie🐾✨️
Frankie came in with severe matting throughout his coat. While the outside of the coat may not always look too bad, matting can be much more than just a few tangles — it can become tight against the skin, causing discomfort and making it difficult to properly care for the coat underneath.
As you can see in the photo's, Frankie’s coat was coming away in one solid piece. Once a coat reaches this stage, brushing it out is no longer a safe or comfortable option. The kindest choice was to remove the matted coat using a #10 blade, leaving Frankie feeling a little naked but much more comfortable.
A few important things to remember about coat care: 🐾 Brushing needs to reach all the way down to the skin, not just over the top of the coat.
🐾 Breeds like Cavoodles can mat quickly due to their soft, curly coats.
🐾 Regular grooming appointments help prevent mats from becoming painful and difficult to remove.
Please don’t feel embarrassed if your dog’s coat gets away from you — life gets busy, and matting can happen faster than many people realise. I’m always happy to help with brushing advice and show you the best way to care for your dog’s coat at home.
Frankie can now start fresh, and with regular grooming and home care, his beautiful coat can grow back healthy and comfortable again 🐶✨

🐾 Important Update from Barkin Bubbles Pet Services 🐾
To continue providing the high-quality, one-on-one care your furry family members deserve, there will be a few updates to my pricing and salon policies, effective from 1/8/26.
These changes help cover the increasing costs of running the salon while ensuring I can continue giving every dog the time, care and attention they deserve.
Updated salon policies: 🐶 Payment is due upon collection. 🐶 Dogs are to be collected within 30 minutes of receiving the "ready for collection" message, unless another collection time has been arranged in advance. 🐶 A late collection fee of $10 per 30 minutes (or part thereof) may apply after the first 30 minutes. 🐶 Grooming prices may vary depending on your dog's size, coat condition, behaviour and the time required to complete the groom.🐶 Some service prices have also been updated to better reflect the time and care involved.
Thank you to all of my wonderful clients for your continued support, kindness and understanding. I truly appreciate every one of you and look forward to continuing to pamper your beautiful pups! ❤️🐾
