Liana the pet camel was recently seen by Dr Lloyd after developing what looked like an extra hump!

It turned out to be an abscess, which Dr Lloyd was able to drain and flush under light sedation before treating her with some medication.

While we always do our best to give an estimated discharge time, please understand that we cannot guarantee exact pick-up times for your pets undergoing procedures. On any given day, our team may be performing between 10–20 procedures ranging from routine desexing surgeries to emergency c-sections and fracture repairs AS WELL AS consultations for multiple different species, medical emergencies, hospital patients and large animal call outs.

Every patient receives individual care, monitoring and attention. Some procedures or recoveries can take longer than expected. Your pet’s welfare and safety will always come first!

We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team works through each case safely and thoroughly. We will contact you when your pet is medically ready to go home.. not at a requested pick up time! ⏰
