Dogz 4 Life Dogz 4 Life is a small business on the Sunshine Coast dedicated to ethical, evidence-based training and Animal Assisted Therapies.

We use a relational awareness approach to training for pet dogs, Assistance, Therapy and Emotional Support dog teams. We are a specialist training service for professional development of clinicians and training of Assistance Dogs, Therapy Dogs and Emotional Support Animals. We aim the build relational awareness to enhance the lives of dogs and their human handlers.

Mano No Aware
Today I did something I have been putting off because I knew it would hurt. I journeyed far and wide to ask local bookstores to stock my books. The path had been well worn with so many memories shared in all the little places along the way. I remembered the turn off to the place my father passed away as I drove past with Kenny Rogers blaring on the stereo. I remembered all the trips Mum and I made to Maleny and Montville for breakfast and to browse in the quaint little shops. Then I remembered going there with my son and his wife. I remembered places I had driven past with my beautiful daughter, then the tears came. The ugly crying lasted the whole journey and I was exhausted, not from mourning all of those losses, but from remembering all of the beautiful moments I had the privilege of sharing with the people I have loved. This privilege also comes with with the knowledge that everything in life is impermanent. There’s a place where this ache lives in a delicate tension with joy. This is what Japanese philosophy refers to Mano No Aware. I remember being fully present for the important moments of life, both sad and joyous. This makes me feel so grateful for those little memories. Cheers to the people I have loved and the wonderful memories we shared.
