The first dog locks on
I don’t call him, I step in, move him out, ask for a sit and wait for his mind to switch off
Then I walk away and let him be.

The second dog runs up to sniff the goats
Just curious, I leave him alone
He works it out and walks off on his own.

They have clear boundaries and they know what’s expected. Then they get to be dogs.

They play, they relax, they switch off, we train & do cool s**t together! But they can settle

If your dog can’t settle, it’s usually not that they need more. It’s that they need balance
