Hi, I’m Heidi - the face behind Heidi McAlpine Equine! 👋🐴

Horses have been a huge part of my life since I was five years old, and dressage quickly became my passion. I was fortunate to train with Nicky Pope for seven years, competing through Advanced Medium and training at a higher level, while working with horses of all ages and experience levels.

My journey into creating musical freestyles started long before I launched my business. After creating my own freestyles, friends began asking me to make theirs too. Before I knew it, I was creating up to 10 freestyles each season for friends alongside my own riding. Seeing how much they loved riding to music that truly suited them and their horses made me realise I wanted to offer this to the wider dressage community.

That passion became Heidi McAlpine Equine.

Today, every freestyle I create is completely custom. I carefully select music to suit each horse’s rhythm, personality, and way of going, professionally edit every transition, and ensure the music flows seamlessly throughout the test. My goal is to create a freestyle that not only feels incredible to ride but also helps showcase your partnership in the best possible way.

Whether you’re preparing for your very first freestyle or looking to create something special for the upcoming season, I’d love to help bring your vision to life.
