Now that all the Maxdawn puppies have gone to their forever homes. I wanted to share this about socialisation. Puppies don't need to meet everyone and everydog to be a well balanced dog. They need to feel ok with being out and about. They need to know that yoy have their back. That you guys are a team.
Now that all the Maxdawn puppies have gone off to their forever homes, I wanted to share something really important about socialisation. 🐾💜
Socialisation isn't about meeting everyone and every dog. It's about learning to feel safe and confident in the world around them.
Your puppy doesn't need to say hello to every person or play with every dog they see to grow into a well-balanced adult.
They need to learn that being out and about is okay. That new sights, sounds, people and environments don't have to be scary. That they can take their time, observe the world and work things out at their own pace.
And most importantly, they need to know that you've got their back. ❤️
You are their safe place. Their support. Their person.
When your puppy knows you're there to guide them, they learn that they don't have to handle everything alone. You become a team, building trust and confidence together, one experience at a time.
Don't measure socialisation by how many dogs your puppy meets or how many people pat them.
✨ It's not about creating a puppy who loves everyone. It's about raising a dog who feels safe enough to navigate the world.
Take your time. Make it positive. Respect their boundaries. Let them watch the world without always needing to be part of it.
Because confident dogs aren't created by throwing them into every situation. They're built through trust, positive experiences and a human who has their back. 🐶💜
