UPDATE: “Oscar” & “Lexi” have been adopted!

Say hello to “Oscar” & “Lexi”, our gorgeous 4 year and 6 month old Bichon Frise X brother and sister who have joined us for rehoming after a change of circumstances for their previous owner 🐶❤️🐶

These two are a package deal! They are very bonded, adore one another and have spent their lives side by side, so we are looking for a special family who will welcome BOTH of them into their hearts and home 🏡

“Oscar” weighs 13.9kg and “Lexi” weighs 6.05kg. “Oscar” is a very good boy who believes treats are one of life’s major food groups… so he could benefit from losing a little bit of weight. Don’t worry though, he’ll probably try to convince you that his diet is simply a terrible misunderstanding! 🤣

Both “Oscar” & “Lexi” are very friendly, happy little dogs. “Oscar” is the more outgoing of the pair when you first meet them, while “Lexi” takes a little longer to warm up… but once she does, you’ll have won her heart. They have both been raised in a loving household and are used to children. They are currently untested with cats and other dogs.

As Bichon mixes, they’ll also need regular grooming appointments to keep their fabulous fluffy coats looking neat, tidy and suitably pampered ✂️

And because we like sending our adoptable animals off looking and feeling their best, we’ll be performing a dental descale and polish on both “Oscar” & “Lexi” tomorrow. So they’ll be heading off to their new family with lovely clean teeth and a fresh smile!

We would absolutely love to find “Oscar” & “Lexi” a wonderful home where they can stay together and be cherished members of the family. They’ve got each other, now they just need their people.

📩 Interested in applying for “Oscar” & “Lexi”?

Please email us at [email protected] and tell us a little about yourself, your home and what you can offer these two gorgeous siblings. From there, we’ll arrange meet and greets in person with suitable applicants.

All “Oscar” & “Lexi” need now is a family to call their own… a place where they can stay together, be spoiled rotten and loved for all the days to come 🫶

Adoption Cost:
“Oscar” & “Lexi’s” combined adoption fee is $800. They are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

UPDATE: “Bear” & “Daisy” have been adopted!

Meet “Bear” & “Daisy”, a seriously adorable little duo who have been each other’s sidekicks their whole lives 🐶🥹🐶

These two were surrendered to us for rehoming by their previous owner after a change in circumstances meant they could no longer care for them. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we’re determined to find these two beautiful pups a wonderful new family where they can continue their lives side by side.

🐻 “BEAR”
🩶 4 years & 6 months old
🩶 Shih Tzu X Maltese
🩶 6.5kg
🩶 Handsome, gentle and a little more reserved
🩶 Used to being regularly groomed ✂️
🩶 Can take a little longer to warm up to new people

🌼 “DAISY”
🧡 2 years & 2 months old
🧡 Dachshund
🧡 4.8kg
🧡 Beautiful, bubbly and definitely the more outgoing of the two!

These two have grown up together and must remain together. They’re both friendly, happy and social little dogs who will make fantastic companions.

“Daisy” is definitely the social butterfly of the pair, she’s usually ready to make friends with everyone she meets! “Bear” can be a little more cautious and may take some time to warm up to new people, but once he decides you’re his friend, you’ll have yourself a very sweet little shadow.

“Bear” is accustomed to being regularly groomed, and both dogs have previously lived with cats and children without any issues.

Now they’re looking for a family who will welcome them both with open arms and give them the happy ending they deserve 🏡🐾🐾

🐻🌼 “Bear” & “Daisy” are a package deal… where one goes, the other goes too!

👉 If you’re interested in applying for “Bear” & “Daisy”, please email [email protected] with information about yourself, your household and what you can offer them. From there, we will select suitable applicants to come in for a meet and greet.

Their forever family is out there somewhere and we can’t wait to see these two besties find them! 🫶

Adoption Cost:
“Bear” & “Daisy’s” combined adoption fee is $800. They are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

UPDATE: “Dragon” & “Auspicious” have been adopted!

These two adorable little floofs, “Dragon” & “Auspicious”, were surrendered into our care today through absolutely no fault of their own by their previous owner 😻❤️😻

And yes… “Dragon” & “Auspicious” are the names they had before coming into our care! We think they’re pretty fabulous names, so we’re sticking with them 😹

At just 12 weeks old, this gorgeous brother and sister duo are still finding their feet in their new surroundings.

🐲 “Dragon” is the handsome black & white boy
🖤 “Auspicious” is his beautiful, fluffy black sister

They’re a little timid at the moment, but underneath those initial nerves are two very sweet, placid and gentle kittens. With the right home, plenty of time, love and patience, we have no doubt these two will flourish and blossom into confident little companions.

But there’s one important catch… these two are a package deal! “Dragon” & “Auspicious” are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They’ve got each other for comfort and confidence, and we won’t be splitting them up.

Could you be the patient, loving home where these two can finally settle in and shine? If you’d like to make a time to meet “Dragon” & “Auspicious”, please call us today on 3264 7700! 🙏🏡🐾

Adoption Cost:
The combined adoption fee for “Dragon” & “Auspicious” is $570. This price includes their second vaccination, microchipping, worming, flea treatment, vet check and desexing (which occurs at 4 months of age and is recommended at the time of their third and final F3 vaccination).

To help your new baby settle into their forever home, we also offer $20 off Royal Canin Kitten dry food (available in 2kg or 4kg bags). All kittens go home on this food to avoid sudden diet changes and those dreaded upset tummies 💩 because happy bellies make happy kittens! 😻

Time is running out.

The Queensland Parliament e-petition calling for changes to Queensland's animal welfare prosecution framework is closing soon.

On 11 August, this opportunity closes.

At the time of writing, more than 5,700 Queenslanders have already added their names, but the petition still needs around 4,000 more signatures to reach 10,000 before it closes.

When Arnie's story first touched the hearts of Queenslanders, thousands of people stood together because they believed animals deserve better.

Today, we're asking for your support again.

This petition gives Queenslanders an opportunity to have their voices heard on an issue that matters to many people across our state.

If you're a Queensland resident and haven't signed yet, we encourage you to take a few moments to read the petition and decide whether you'd like to support it.

If you've already signed, thank you. One of the biggest ways you can help now is by sharing the petition with your family, friends and community. Every signature helps more people become aware of the conversation around animal welfare in Queensland.

With only a short time remaining before the petition closes, every signature and every share could make a difference.

Thank you for continuing to stand with Arnie and for caring about the future of animals in Queensland.

UPDATE: “Rocky” has been adopted!

Meet “Rocky”, our gorgeous 2 year old Border Collie with the sweetest eyes and an even sweeter heart 🖤🐶🤍

“Rocky” was surrendered into our care a few weeks ago by his previous owner. His family had only had him for around six months after taking him in from another family member, hoping to give him a fresh start.

Unfortunately, despite their very best efforts, it became clear that “Rocky” was struggling in their busy multi-pet household, which included other dogs, donkeys, pigs, sheep and birds.

Almost immediately, “Rocky” began showing signs of anxiety and reactivity around the other animals. He would bark, hide under the deck, tuck himself behind furniture, and growl when one of the resident dogs (who has quite the alpha personality) walked past. It was obvious this wasn’t a case of a bad dog… it was a dog who simply wasn’t coping in the environment he found himself in.

And that’s the thing about “Rocky”…

Take away the pressure of other animals, and you discover the most beautiful boy.

One on one, “Rocky” is an absolute sweetheart. He adores people, melts into cuddles, happily trots along on walks, and is never happier than when he’s proudly carrying around his favourite chew toy. He’s affectionate, eager to please and has the kind of smile that makes even the toughest day a little brighter.

Being a Border Collie, “Rocky” is incredibly intelligent and thrives when he has both physical exercise and mental stimulation. This is a breed that loves having a job to do… whether that’s learning new tricks, solving enrichment puzzles, hiking, playing fetch or joining you on adventures. A bored Border Collie will often invent their own entertainment, and trust us, they can be very creative! 😉

For “Rocky”, we’re looking for a single pet home where he can truly relax and be the centre of someone’s world. He’ll also need an owner who is committed to continuing his training and helping build his confidence so he can become the well rounded boy we know he’s capable of being.

We know the right home is out there.

Someone who sees beyond his past.
Someone willing to invest the time.
Someone who’ll give him the chance he’s been waiting for.

In return, you’ll gain a loyal best friend who’ll stick by your side through every adventure.

💌 If you think you could be “Rocky’s” perfect match, we’d love to hear from you. Please send us an email at [email protected] telling us a little about yourself, your household, and what kind of home you can offer “Rocky”.

Please help us share “Rocky’s” story so we can find the one thing he wants most… a family to call his own 🙏🏡❤️

Adoption Cost:
“Rocky’s” adoption fee is $300. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

UPDATE: “Harley” has been adopted!

“Harley’s” face when I told her no one has asked to meet her yet… 💔

I genuinely don’t understand it.

“Harley” is a beautiful girl with so much love to give, but she’s being overlooked.

Because of that, I’ve made the decision to PAUSE our adoption program. I won’t be taking in any new animals until “Harley” has found the loving home she deserves.

Every bit of my time and energy is now going into finding her family.

Please help me change “Harley’s” story. Even if she’s not the right fit for you, a simple share could put her in front of the person she’s been waiting for.

“Harley” has been featured on our page numerous times, so if you’d like to learn more about her, please scroll back through our previous posts. You’ll find all about her personality, her journey, and the kind of home she’s looking for.

Let’s make sure this sweet girl is the next one going home 🙏🤎🐾

UPDATE: “Leo” has been adopted!

Meet “Leo”! 🦁🧡🐾

“Leo” came into our care last week after his previous owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him. Due to a child in the home developing an allergy to “Leo”, along with “Leo’s” anxiety being triggered by the busy environment and children, his family knew he deserved the chance to find a quieter retirement home where he could enjoy his remaining years in comfort and peace.

At 11 years and 5 months old, “Leo” is a true gentleman who is ready to trade the chaos of a busy household for a life of quiet afternoons, cosy naps, and being thoroughly spoiled (which, let’s be honest, is exactly what every senior cat deserves).

“Leo” is a lovely natured, gentle and very placid boy. While he has experienced a huge upheaval being surrendered, he has shown all of us that underneath it all is a sweet, trusting and affectionate cat who still has so much love to give.

“Leo” is looking for a very special home… one without children and without other pets. He has previously shown that he isn’t a fan of sharing his space with other cats, and after 11 years of being the centre of his family’s world, we think “Leo” would quite happily keep that position 👑

What “Leo” needs now is a loving home where he can be spoilt rotten, enjoy a calm routine, and spend his golden years being someone’s one and only.

‼️🫀We also want to be completely transparent with “Leo’s” future family. Since arriving into our care, “Leo” has been diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur. The good news is that he is currently asymptomatic, and we are hopeful he can continue to enjoy many happy years ahead. It’s very possible he has had this murmur for quite some time and it simply hasn’t been detected until now.

“Leo” will also be having a dental scale and polish in the coming days, so his teeth are fresh and clean before he heads off to start his next chapter 🦷✨😸

In the meantime, we’re hoping to arrange some meet and greets with families who understand that senior cats still have so much love left to give. Once “Leo” has recovered from his dental procedure, he will officially be ready to leave and settle into his new home.

Could you be the quiet, loving retirement home “Leo” has been waiting for? Please share far and wide to help this handsome dilute ginger boy find his forever family. If you’re interested in meeting “Leo”, please call us on 3264 7700 to arrange an appointment! 🙏🏡❤️

Adoption Cost:
“Leo’s” adoption fee is $185. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

UPDATE: “Harley” has been adopted!

Meet “Harley” 🤎🐶🏡

A lot of you will already be familiar with this gorgeous girl after we rescued her from a Canberra pound, and she arrived safely into our care last week. After spending the entire period of 2026 sitting in the pound waiting for someone to give her a chance, we think it’s finally “Harley’s” turn to find the happy ending she’s waited far too long for.

Yesterday was a big day for our sweet girl! “Harley” underwent surgery to amputate her happy tail (yes… she’s literally so excited to see people that she wagged her tail until she injured it! 🥹). A huge thank you to Dr Brook, Dr Kristie and Nurse Angelina, who took wonderful care of her. While she was under anaesthetic, “Harley” also had a few teeth extracted, and we’re so pleased to say she has absolutely sailed through her recovery like the superstar she is.

Now… let’s talk about “Harley” herself.

If you’re looking for a dog who loves people with her whole heart, you’ve just found her. “Harley” absolutely thrives on human company and would happily nominate herself as your full time shadow. Whether you’re heading outside, relaxing on the couch or simply walking from one room to another… “Harley” would very much like to be involved.

At 8 years young and weighing 28.3kg, “Harley” clearly didn’t get the memo that she’s technically a senior! She still has plenty of bounce in her step, loves being active and would thrive with someone who enjoys daily walks, backyard play sessions and spending quality time together. She’s full of life and has so much love left to give.

“Harley” already knows sit and drop, and the quickest way to her heart is… treaties. She is incredibly treat motivated, which makes continuing her training a breeze. One thing we do want to be upfront about is that “Harley” is very strong on the lead, so she’ll need someone confident who is happy to continue working with her manners during walks.

“Harley” will also need an owner who understands that settling into a home won’t happen overnight. After spending such a long time living in the pound, she’s forgotten what it’s like to have a family of her own. She’ll need patience, reassurance and time to decompress as she learns that she’s finally safe. The reward, however, will be a loyal best friend who adores her people.

We also want to be completely transparent about “Harley’s” ongoing medical needs. She has suffered from chronic ear infections and is currently receiving PMP Ear Suspension twice daily. Along with her ears, her skin is something that may require lifelong management. We’ve worked hard to get “Harley” up to date with everything on our end, but her future family must be financially prepared and committed to continuing her veterinary care for the rest of her life. She deserves someone who will invest in her health just as much as she’ll invest her heart in them.

“Harley” has not been tested with other animals, so we’d love to find her a home where she can be the only pet. Quite frankly… she’s waited long enough for someone to make her the centre of their universe, and we think she’s earned that privilege. She absolutely craves attention and is looking for that special someone to build an unbreakable bond with.

“Harley” has spent far too long waiting for life to begin. Now all she needs is someone willing to take a chance on a beautiful girl who still greets every day with a wagging tail (hopefully a much healthier one now! 😉).

Please help us give “Harley” the second chance she’s been desperately waiting for. If you can’t adopt, sharing her post far and wide could be the reason her forever family finds her.

💌 If you’d like to arrange a time to meet “Harley”, please send an email to [email protected], addressed to Shannon, telling us a little about yourself, your household and what you can offer “Harley”.

Let’s find this beautiful girl the loving home she’s waited so patiently for!!! 🙏🙏🙏

Adoption Cost:
“Harley’s” adoption fee is $300. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.

UPDATE: “Ozzy” has been adopted!

With his striking silver tabby coat, crisp white chest and paws, and beautiful green eyes, 5 year old “Ozzy” is as handsome as they come. Sadly, he’s also been through more than any cat ever should, and now all we want for him is the peaceful, loving life he has always deserved 🥹🙏🏡

“Ozzy” was surrendered to our rehoming program a few days ago by his previous owners. They had only welcomed him into their home a few months earlier after rescuing him from an incredibly sad situation. Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, “Ozzy” didn’t integrate well with their senior cat. He would frequently stalk and harass the other cat around the home, making life very stressful for both of them. It became clear that “Ozzy” would be much happier as the only pet, so with everyone’s wellbeing in mind, they made the difficult decision to find him a home where he could truly thrive.

Before that, “Ozzy’s” life was heartbreaking. We were told that his original owner would rub his face in his waste as punishment, shoot him with a gel blaster, and even throttle him. No animal should ever have to endure such cruelty. It is absolutely awful, and “Ozzy” deserves so much better than the life he was given.

The beautiful thing about “Ozzy” is that, despite everything he has experienced, he still loves people. He enjoys affection, still has a playful side, and simply wants a quiet, predictable life where he can finally feel safe.

“Ozzy” will need a dedicated owner who understands that trust takes time. As with all rescue cats, we recommend following the 333 rule… the first 3 days to decompress, the first 3 weeks to learn routines and start feeling secure, and the first 3 months to truly settle and show his personality. With patience, kindness, and consistency, we’re confident he will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion we know he can be.

Because of his history, “Ozzy” must be rehomed as the only pet. He is looking for a calm household where he can be the centre of someone’s world… no other cats, no dogs, just a fresh start filled with love.

If you think you could offer “Ozzy” the forever home he has been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you. Please call us during opening hours on 3264 7700 to arrange a time to meet him.

If you’re unable to adopt, please share “Ozzy’s” story far and wide. We know finding his perfect match may take some time, but we also know that special person is out there. Let’s help “Ozzy” leave his past behind and finally find the happy ending he deserves ❤️

Adoption Cost:
“Ozzy’s” adoption fee is $185. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.
