The season has officially begun. The first two foals arrived this week, and despite the recent miserable weather it’s starting to feel like spring is here (albeit with some seriously waterlogged ground!). We are still a few weeks off from joining mares as we scramble to finish our shed build, so if you have early joining plans please get in touch so we can make a plan for mid September arrivals. Thank you to International Horse Breeders Pty LTD for this acknowledgment of our work with frozen semen purchased through IHB last season. Another certificate of excellence for our team!
The national average conception rate was reported as 2.1 inseminations per pregnancy with TEG achieving 1.4 inseminations per pregnancy over a significant number of mares bred. A lot of careful management goes into these kind of results - from IHB’s many years of experience in the trade of frozen semen, to our small but dedicated team at TEG.
Full credit to IHB for collecting this data, enabling mare owners to make informed breeding choices.

A reminder to TEG clients: the business has now moved to 5360 Princes Highway, Boorcan. There is still a lot of infrastructure to put into place, but we are working hard to ensure we will be ready to go in September. Please let us know (if you haven’t done so already) if you are planning to send your mare our way.
Please note: our foaling down spots are fully booked. Embryo Transfer and chilled/frozen AI spots are available but filling fast. We no longer provide stallion collection services.

A few weeks ago we said a very teary goodbye to an integral part of the TEG team… Debbie has been our tease mare for so long we can’t quite remember when she started (at least 22 years ago)! She taught countless young studs the ropes, and even though she’s been on very light duties for the last few seasons, she still approached her job like a true professional. RIP Deb Deb xx
