No, we haven’t disappeared… we’ve just been busy making a mess, cleaning a mess, building things, and hanging out with a few blue tongues along the way. 🦎😂

Life has been busy behind the scenes. Between upgrading the reptile room in school holidays (whose idea was that??🫣), cleaning enclosures, letting little hands help (they’re surprisingly enthusiastic 😂), and spending time with our blue tongues, Instagram quietly slipped down the priority list. 🫠

Thanks for sticking around whilst we went completely MIA! Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to. 📸

Also, the end of brumation is getting closer 🥳 which means the most exciting time of the year isn’t far away. Pairings, breeding season and, before we know it, tiny Bluetongues. 🥹

How long can a Blue Tongue sleep for? 😴🦎

Try months!!

As winter arrives, many adult Bluetongues slow right down, spending most of their time hidden away sleeping through the colder weather. Some will barely emerge at all until spring returns!! 🫣

Brumation is a completely natural process that helps reptiles conserve energy when temperatures and daylight hours drop. Less food, less activity, more sleep.

Help us name this little guy 🦎💙

This gorgeous little guy has somehow managed to go months without getting an official name…
We’ve all just been calling him ‘Baby Platinum’🫣

Which was fine when he was a tiny baby. However in true Bluey form, he is no longer tiny or a baby anymore. 😅

So before ‘Baby Platinum’ becomes his official name by default, I need your help.
