Must have been 2014. Got a call to walk a Staffy…I remember her owner saying…she’s a bit cautious with other dogs. We met up…leashed up and off we went. I fell in love with that pup instantly. Sure…she had a few scars…had some stories to tell…we hit it off. Over so many years…the kilometres we travelled…the exploring we did…the chats we had…the love we exchanged, she wasn’t my dog…but I loved her as if she was.
This week…we said goodbye to Ruby. Makes me very sad but also happy knowing that her mum gave her the best life possible a dog could ever want.
You will live on forever in my memory Ruby.
