Aussie grapes in August? Yep - and there’s an interesting story behind them.

Australian growers are finding new ways to extend our growing seasons, with grapes now coming out of North Queensland at a time of year when Australian shelves have traditionally relied on imported Californian fruit - a glimpse at how our growing regions are changing.

Box Divvy co-founder Anton van den Berg spoke to Nine about what’s changing in Australian growing regions, the strawberry season that just keeps on giving, and what it all means for shoppers.

And when growing conditions are this good, shoppers can benefit too. The article highlights some of our recent Box Divvy deals, including 99c cabbages, $1.49 whole cauliflowers, 89c Hass avocados and carrots for 99c/kg.

Our very first Queensland Hub is officially up and running!

This week, our Regents Park Hub packed and distributed its very first Box Divvy order - a pretty exciting milestone as we kick things off in QLD.

And we’re only just getting started… another two Queensland Hubs will be placing their first orders this coming week! 🙌

A big part of making Box Divvy work in Queensland is our partnership with Suncoast Fresh, helping us source and supply fresh produce locally for our QLD Hubs.

A huge welcome to our new Hubsters and members. We’re so excited to see the Box Divvy community growing in Queensland and more locals getting access to fresh, affordable food while supporting a fairer food system.

We currently have Hubs open or building in Banyo, Browns Plains, Crestmead, Kingston, Regents Park and Zillmere.

Great to tune in to ABC Central Coast Breakfast, where Sarah Forster chatted with Box Divvy co-founder Jayne Travers-Drapes about Waste-Free Wednesday and how Box Divvy is helping make reducing household waste a little easier. ♻️

From reducing unnecessary packaging and reusing produce boxes, to shortening the distance food travels from farmers to our communities, there are plenty of practical ways we can rethink the way we shop.

A great conversation about shopping smarter, reducing waste and making a positive difference in our communities.
