Huonfels Brahmans was founded in 1986 by John Bethel in order to produce cattle with good bone, muscling and temperament. We try to avoid cattle that are too extreme as they do not do well in North Queensland's harsh environment. We like our bulls to look like bulls and our heifers to be feminine and fertile. We also have a line of polled cattle with an emphasis on quality. Huonfels ASH stud began

in 2000 with the purchase of our foundation mare, Shaneil Coolcharm Quest from Neil and Sharon Diery. She went on to win 5 Open drafts, numerous Ladies, Juveniles and Juniors as well as finalling in the 2006 Canning Downs. Quest was also a working class and 2-handed cutting winner. Our objective is to breed athletic, cowy horses that are tough enough to work in the stock camp and smart enough to compete on the weekends. We welcome any and all visitors and enquiries!
