Jordan Grob has been involved in the racing industry since his early teenage years and, now aged 30, brings extensive hands-on experience across multiple aspects of thoroughbred racing and training.
Jordan began his career as an Apprentice Jockey on the Gold Coast before relocating to Victoria, where he completed the majority of his apprenticeship. He later returned to the Gold Coast to continue riding as a senior jockey before injury ultimately brought an end to his riding career.
Following his retirement from race riding, Jordan transitioned into horse training and has now been training racehorses for the past two years. Working with a small team of tried horses in Queensland, Jordan successfully prepared multiple winners, establishing a strong foundation for his growing stable.
Since relocating to Victoria, Jordan has developed a training environment focused on maximising each horse’s individual needs and wellbeing. His training setup combines farm-based training, where horses can enjoy a more natural and relaxed lifestyle, with access to premium on-course facilities at Geelong Racecourse, including beach work, sand tracks, and swimming facilities.
This flexible approach allows horses to remain happier, mentally fresher, and sounder for longer periods while tailoring training programs specifically to each horse rather than following a rigid stable routine. The system is particularly beneficial for both experienced racehorses and younger horses transitioning into racing environments who may benefit from a less structured and more adaptable training lifestyle.
Jordan Grob Racing also offers extensive experience in pre-training and horse education, including groundwork, lunging, jumping, and developing horses to use themselves correctly both physically and mentally. This foundation work helps produce horses that are more balanced, relaxed, and manageable in their racing careers.
Jordan is now focused on expanding and evolving his stable in Victoria, building a new team of horses suited to the Victorian racing landscape while continuing to provide owners with a professional, transparent, and exciting racing experience.
