🐾 FOR THE DOGS THAT THRIVE 🐾

Some “lately” pics, and they have been some of the best trail running Adventures we’ve had to date!

Canine Adventuretime has been at this a long time, and takes the job with your dog very seriously.

This ain’t just dog walking (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
This ain’t just dogs running around a paddock for an hour (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
This is for the dogs that need to be sent out for the day on a mission with mates, the dogs that need to experience the benefits of operating & “working” as a pack, the dogs that thrive on purpose and need freedom within healthy boundaries.
This is for the dogs that you need dropped home at the end of the day worn out, chilled & fulfilled.

This little operation has really turned into something. It’s 9 years old next week, and that’s only counting from when we “officially” launched as a fully fledged business. And it’s ALL because of you, the clients, who have been THE BEST supporters ever. We are now seeing the 2nd and 3rd dogs from long term clients booking in!

This business is a lifestyle, a daily choice, and my dharma.
It’s not always easy, but we LOVE it. All of it.
And the dogs love it too.

One more thing: when one dog retires, a new dog can start attending, so if you have a young/healthy dog, enquire now.

🐾 BACK WITH A BANG 🐾

After a much needed break we are back in action here at CA.

We have a couple (yes only a couple) of availabilities on a weekly/fortnightly basis, so if your dog needs something MORE, but you’re not quite sure what that is, shoot through a message here.
It might just be a perfect fit.

We take dogs on Epic Outdoor Adventures every weekday: each day is an offleash trail running adventure in a wild place, with a social, seasoned group, plenty of games, stimuli, and constant work together as a pack.

We’ve been at it full time for a few weeks shy of 9 fantastic dog-handling years - this is no flash in the pan, hair-brain side hustle.
Experience matters baby!

This business is for time poor people who want only the best for their dogs.

🐾 It’s not always easy, but it’s ALWAYS worth it 🐾

Today was wet. I mean, that sticky, ongoing, salty, sandy, gross, drizzly rainy weather that turns up and sets up camp in the one spot on the coast for the entire day.
It’s not heavy enough rain to have your wipers on nonstop, but it’s too heavy to have your wipers on intermittent: you know, THAT kind of wet.
So, obviously it was not an easy day for the humans with just human skin & no insulating dog fur between the sand & the breeze & the rain. Also, way too wet for nice footage (sorry about that).

But wait, I should mention the dogs… They had a SUPERB TIME. They have fur & they didn’t care! They ran and played & wrestled & ran & raced & did some drills & ran & tired themselves out beautifully, as a big old gang of misfits. (Some of them are pictured in the rain)

Anyway, I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: it’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.

• THE STORY OF CA •

Almost 9 years ago CA kicked off, out of my personal obsession & unwavering belief in the benefits of trail running with dogs.

But before it started, I used to get a few days off from my (then) job, and spend them cramming my dogs & my friends’ dogs into my “normal person” sedan, just to spend the day running out in the bush with them. I did this obsessively, for years, and YES: everyone was convinced I was crazy.

One day, a friend pointed out that this madness I was offering my circle of mates would make an amazing new style of business, not only because I lived & breathed it, but because it’s a great alternative for people that needed more than just the usual suburban dog walking service. There were no ‘dog adventure services’ around for dogs back then, so I hadn’t even considered it was something that could be a job, or a business.
So, in I jumped.

Almost 9 years later, here we are.
It worked.
My friend was right.
Today, CA still has many of the same clients as we did back on day one.
Some are even sending their second (or third) dog in 9 years, which is absolutely brilliant.

I love this so much: I love being a dog handler, I love seeing dogs genuinely thriving & happy, I love the beautiful CA community of dog owners, & I love everything Mother Nature offers day to day.

2017 started the very best thing in my world, & I can’t wait for the rest of it in the future. If I could go back and chat to 2017 me, I’d tell her to go for it with every cell of energy she has, because it will pay off & quite literally, change her life.

Now in 2026, I wish time would slow down, because I feel the need to cram more awesome stuff into each day of this journey of life.
And I wish I started CA earlier, because I will never ever get enough. 💚
