Wynter 💝 22 Dec 2014 - 14 Oct 2026 💝

If ever there was a foster dog I wished I had adopted, it was this girl Wynter whom I triumphantly brought home from the RSPCA in 2018 after my volunteer shift grooming the shelter dogs. With blessings from ArcticRescue Victoria of course! If anyone thinks they can just pick up a dog and bring it home it ain’t like that!

But we already had 3 dogs and there’s always the other half who draws the line with a “No you’re not!” 😫 (finger pointing 👉🏼 at you Piete 😆)

Wynter fell in love with Fatty who had no inkling, and wooed wooed him all day 🎶 😅
She loved the beach and swimming with me!
I mean isn’t that a big fat yes already that this is a unicorn 🦄 you shouldn’t let out of your sight 😄
I didn’t have to bribe or encourage her to get in the water.

It was for a short but two delightful weeks we had her before we drove all the way to Melton from Frankston for Wynter to meet her new mum and hufky brother.

We didn’t get to catch up with Wynter’s new fam after 2018, but we knew she had found the right home with mum Julie and big brother Walker who adored her 💙.

Wherever you are now sweet sweet girl, know you brought so much joy laughter and love to all of us, especially your mum Julie and Walker 💙💙💙.

Things were looking a bit GRIM 😬 but it’s nothing we aren’t used to and able to transform into clean soft and fluffy!

A very satisfying day for us blowing out Zeus’s coat, and I reckon Mum was very happy to get what was left of her boy back 😂




I’m thinking one of those brooms they use in a shearing shed 🐑 might work better!

Parents came with their border collie and out of the blue
Dad says: when should a malamute start grooming? When he starts blowing his coat??

Me: 😳 Why??? (Groomer alarm 🚨 bell 🔔 is ringing) Have you got one?!

Dad proudly replies: Yes! He’s 3 months old! I’ll show you his photos! He’s soooooooo cute!!!!

Me: (👀 wide open!) Now! You need to bring him right now or when he’s fully vaccinated!
We don’t need to be at the receiving end of a 40kg+ dog thrashing around in the bath and biting the dryer so he needs to start learning about grooming now when you can still carry him like a handbag 🛍️ !

So! Here is Bane at 3 months old! All went really well until the dryer got to work 😄
Parents now have homework to use the hair dryer at home so he gets used to the feel of air blowing on him 🌬️🌬️🌬️
