It took a village, but it happened... our first ever SASS Livestock and Equine Jackpot 😍 We are so grateful for every single one of you who pitched in with the many different jobs going on during the day.

Huge congratulations to Johey Armitage for taking out the WIN on 3/3 head and winning herself an entry into the 2027 Top Gun Rapid Fire Shootout!

Congratulations to Jay Green for winning the Rope and Tie on 3/3 head, and Kathy Moses with 3/3 caught for the win in the Starter Breakaway.

Tahliah Storie won herself a Yeti for the fastest time of 1.81sec in the entire breakaway, and Jay Green won a Yeti for his 9.58sec run in the Rope and Tie.

I even managed to snag some $$$, thanks to my main man Ronnie 🤩💕✨

📣 General event rules and housekeeping

💰 Entries
Our front gate and entries will be open from 8:30. Cash welcome on the day, however, if you wish to pre-pay via direct deposit before Sunday that is welcomed!

👩 Breakaway
Rope must be fixed to the horn with a minimum of 3 strands of jute string or 1 strand of builders string.
Electric eye barrier, broken barrier is a +10.
No stock draws.
1st round will run in listed order. 2nd round will run in reverse order. 3rd round will be slowest to fastest over the prior 2 head average.
Event will be paid to 4th place on the '3 head average' times.
Bonus prize for fastest time of the entire jackpot.
Winner of the average will win an entry into the Top Gun 2027 Rapid Fire Shootout.

🤠 Calf roping
Electric eye barrier, broken barrier is +10.
No stock draws.
All 3 rounds will run in the same posted order.
Event will pay to 2nd if under 10 entrants on the day or 3rd if 10 or more entrants on the day, which will be calculated over the fastest averages on 3 head.
Bonus prize for fastest time of the entire jackpot.
Bust and drag rule applies, any questions can be directed to Steven.

✨ Starter breakaway
1st round will be on a drag dummy at a trot speed.
2nd round will be an optional slow live calf or another drag dummy.
3rd round is a live calf for all entrants.
For all live calf runs, the barrier will apply.
Will pay to 2nd place if under 10 entrants on the day or 3rd place if 10 and over entrants on the day.

🧢 Attire
Casual attire (incl shirts and caps) is allowed.
All competitors who are under 18 on the day of the event must wear a helmet at all times when on horseback.

❗️Risk waivers
These must be signed when entries are paid. No signed waiver = no competition.
We will make best efforts to ensure all safety measures are implemented, but if we recognise any unsafe behaviour or dangerous riding, we reserve the right to cancel your entry on the spot. There is NO individual rider insurance, you compete at your own risk.

🏡 General housekeeping
This is our private residence and we gladly welcome y'all to our property. Please clean up after yourselves and don't hesitate to let us know if anything needs our attention or rectification.

Basic canteen will be on offer, CASH only.

When you arrive, please follow the roadway at the right of the house to head around the back to our arena. We do not have an abundance of parking space, so please do your best to follow directions and park close and organised to maximise the space.
