Dinner Plain Sled Dog Sprint ❄️⛄️
8th ~ 9th August 2026

Last weekend we headed up the mountain to Dinner Plain to race on snow. This is the second time we’ve been, and both times it became a dryland race due to the lack of snow. Thankfully we were still able to race, but what are the chances!

Sage, Libby and Marley enjoyed racing on a different track with some technical aspects 🐾

They’re developing nicely as a team and continue to amaze me. It makes me proud to see all our training come together at a race, and to experience just how special this team is 🌟

We placed 🥈 in the 3 Dog Class and were one of the fastest teams out of all the rig classes which ran the same track❗️

The best part was Courtney and Dawson making a surprise trip to spend the weekend cheering us on and catching up. To top it off, Dawson experienced his first race as a musher in the P*e Wee class with Sage. A very special moment 🤍

NSW Siberian Express Hypro Sprint 🌲
18th ~ 19th July, 2026

Last weekend we were back at Wingello Forest for another race! This was a special one being Marley’s first race, and my first race in the rig class 🐾🖤

The girls were fantastic with Marley taking the ‘race atmosphere’ all in her stride. They’re a young team with 2 yearlings, and they simply amaze me with their efforts and etiquette.

It’s extremely rewarding to see our training, on and off the trails, come together at a race. Our only goal was for Marley to have a positive experience, pass well, and enjoy herself which she did❗️

In a competitive class we finished 🥉 overall.

I’ve always wanted to be in the rig class and I’m stoked I finally am. A big thank you to Courtney Persson and Karen Yeargain for helping me get here, your mentorship and entrusting me with your dogs 🙂

A huge shout out to NSW Siberian Express All Breeds Sled Dog Club for yet another amazing race full of fun, laughter and good vibes 🌟

SHC NSW A Dash in the Dark ✨
11th ~ 12th July, 2026

We’ve been busy racing the last 2 weekends! First was the Dash at Wingello Forest where I managed to take just 1 photo (of the forest) 😂

Sage and Libby raced in the 2 Dog Open Class and they blitzed it! In a very competitive class they finished:
4️⃣th overall
🥇 Siberian Team
With an average speed of 29km/hr❗️

The girls continue to amaze me with their drive, work ethic and just how clever they are. Sage is in her element at races, and thrives on it. Libby is learning just how much fun it is as well 🙂

We signed off as race coordinator for the season after this race, and now we get to enjoy races without the clipboard 📋
