Buy the one you want they say and we definitely did that today on the last day of the Inglis Classic Sale. Lot 662 a filly by Boom stallion Ole Kirk out of a Sea the Stars mare in Beautiful Dawn. She stood out from the first time we saw her last week and we waited till the last day to get her. She has a page full of stakes winners and we hope she will be the next one! It was the first day of buying at the Inglis Classic yearling sales at Riverside today and we couldn’t be happier with the filly we are taking home. Bred by Arrowfield Stud by stallion on the rise in Castelvecchio and she has Oaks written all over her. Her dam is Kebede who won a Doomben Roses and is closely related to classy gallopers Panzer Division and Desert Fight who was a multiple G1 winner and champion 2yo in Chile.
Castelvecchio is the sire of champion 3yo filly Aeliana who won the ATC Derby last year and was a headline horse during the spring and also of El Castello who won the G1 Spring Champion Stakes 2000m as a spring 3yo. We bought this filly with those staying 3yo fillies races in mind. She has also been nominated for the Inglis race series where there is good money on offer. A steal at only $40k. [email protected]
