We have everything crossed that we can save this beautiful adult male wombat that was rescued tonight. We may not be able to ultimately save him, but the WRSC rescuers and coordinators have all tried our best. This boy has deteriorated quickly since we were first alerted to him, and we fear he has some serious injuries, potentially caused by a shotgun. We hope he can pull through this but with his significantly poor state, it may just be too late. But we will try as he has put up such a good fight until now.

He drops the lip and gets that look in his eyes. George came to us with nowhere to go last year and while it can be a pain when he headbutts, we do love him loads 🤪🙏❤️
