💜 Meet Dee Dee. 💜

When I first met Dee Dee, I couldn't even look directly at her. I had to toss her food from a distance because she wasn't comfortable with anyone approaching. She had already bitten one person and had another close call.

But beneath all that fear was a dog who adored her family and absolutely cherished her owners and their grandchildren.

Fast forward to today...

Look at her now. 🥹 She happily leans in for cuddles from people she once would have feared, and her very best friend is the family cat. Watching her choose connection over fear is something I'll never get tired of.

Her transformation wasn't about "fixing" her. It was about understanding her, giving her time, building trust, and showing her the world could be a safe place.

I'm incredibly proud of Dee Dee and beyond grateful for her amazing owners, who never gave up on her.

Through love... patience... and a little training... incredible things are possible. 💜🐾

TRANSFORMATION POST

When I first met Dee Dee, she could not be approached safely.

She needed to stay on lead, I couldn’t look directly at her, and even small movements could put her on guard and create a bite risk. She had already attacked one person and attempted to attack another. Nobody knew her history before rescue, only that she was living in survival mode.

Today, Dee Dee wags her tail when people arrive. She confidently seeks pats and affection, relaxes around visitors, plays gently with the grandchildren and has had no further incidents.

Even more beautiful? She and the family cat are now best friends and play together every single day.

But none of this happened by accident.

Dee Dee has truly incredible owners who refused to give up on her. They put in the work, stayed consistent, trusted the process and gave this dog the patience and safety she desperately needed.

This wasn’t about “dominating” a dog. It was about helping a frightened dog finally feel safe enough to stop fighting the world.

I’m so incredibly proud of Dee Dee and her family 💜
