Bonnie’s got a sparkling new smile! 😁

Beautiful Bonnie visited us at Emerald Vet Clinic for her dental scale and polish. She did wonderfully under anaesthesia, recovered smoothly, and is now heading home with lovely clean, fresh teeth!
A big thank you to Bonnie’s family for trusting our team with her care and bringing her in for this important procedure. 💚
Regular dental care is an important part of keeping our dogs and cats healthy.

A professional dental scale and polish can help:
🦷 Remove plaque and tartar build-up
🦷 Help prevent gum disease and painful dental problems
🦷 Improve bad breath
🦷 Identify dental issues early, before they become more serious
🦷 Keep those precious smiles healthy and comfortable!

Dogs and cats can be very good at hiding dental discomfort, so regular dental checks are important even when they seem perfectly happy.
Well done, Bonnie! Enjoy showing off those beautifully polished pearly whites! 😁🐶

Wondering about your pet’s teeth or whether they may need a dental check or clean? Our friendly team at Emerald Vet Clinic is always happy to help.

Meet Dove! 🐰😍

Dove the adorable rabbit visited Emerald Vet to get her spey done — and she was an absolute superstar! 🐇

Did you know?
 Rabbits can reproduce from a very young age and can have multiple litters each year.
 Desexing helps prevent unwanted litters and contributes to responsible pet ownership.
 Speying female rabbits can significantly reduce the risk of reproductive diseases, including uterine cancer, which is unfortunately common in older female rabbits.
 Desexing can also help reduce hormone-driven behaviours and makes it easier for rabbits to live happily with other rabbits.

And remember, Emerald Vet isn’t just for dogs and cats! 🐶🐱❤️
We also have expertise in caring for pocket pets, including rabbits and other small companion animals. 🐰🐹

Thinking about getting your rabbit or pocket pet desexed? Or simply want to know more about the benefits and what’s involved?
Contact Emerald Vet — we’d be happy to chat with you and discuss the best options for your little friend 😍

LEPTOSPIROSIS ALERT – PLEASE PROTECT YOUR DOGS

We have recently been made aware of confirmed cases of Leptospirosis in suburbs close to Emerald.
Importantly, Emerald Vet Clinic has also treated two confirmed Leptospirosis-positive cases in the past, so this is something we believe our local dog owners should be aware of.

What is Leptospirosis?
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that can cause severe kidney and liver disease in dogs and, in serious cases, can be fatal. Dogs can be exposed through contaminated water, soil or contact with infected animals, particularly rodents.

The good news is that Leptospirosis is preventable through vaccination. Please check your dog’s vaccination status and speak with our veterinary team if you are unsure whether they are protected.

For more information or to book an appointment, please contact Emerald Vet Clinic on 5968 6600

Protect your best friend. Prevention is better than cure ❤️

Look Who’s Smiling Again — Lucy’s Happy Ending!😍

Poor Lucy came to Emerald Vet Clinic with a very sore tummy, crying out in pain. After blood tests and an ultrasound, we found a large mass on her spleen.

After discussing the findings with Lucy's family, our team performed an exploratory surgery and discovered a 10 cm mass on Lucy's spleen. As it could have been cancerous, we removed Lucy's spleen to give her the best chance.

The good news is that dogs can live a happy and normal life without a spleen. Removing it also prevented a serious risk — regardless of whether the mass was cancerous or not, it could have grown and ruptured at any stage, causing life-threatening internal bleeding.

The spleen was sent for laboratory testing, and we were thrilled to receive the news that the mass was not cancerous! 😀

Just look at Lucy’s happy face during her post-op check! 🥰 Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

At Emerald Vet Clinic, we’re here to provide your pets with the very best care possible — because they are not just pets, they are family. ❤️

Meet Milo 🐶💙

Milo’s journey with us at Emerald Vet Clinic is truly special. He was born here via a gentle caesarean section, taking his very first breath under our care. From those tiny first moments, he stole everyone’s hearts with his sweet little personality.

Fast forward to today, Milo returned to us all grown up — this time for his desexing procedure. Confident, calm, and still just as lovable, it was a beautiful reminder of how far he’s come since that very first day.

Watching Milo grow from his very beginning to an important milestone in his life is exactly why we do what we do. 🐾❤️
A sincere thank you goes to Milo’s parents for the trust they have placed in Emerald Vet Clinic. We truly appreciate being part of Milo’s journey.

Because at Emerald Vet Clinic, we will be with your pet from the beginning and through every stage of their lives 😍🙏

Meet Ragnar the Maine C**n! 😺😍

He came in for his vaccination and confidently made himself at home, calmly exploring our consult room like he owned the place.

At Emerald Vet, we know vet visits can be stressful for cats — that’s why we go the extra mile with a calm, comfortable environment, including our dedicated cat-only consult room, to help reduce stress and make visits easier. 💚

That’s what makes Emerald Vet your furry family’s second home. 🐾❤️

Look who's back! 😍

Three-month-old Atlas visited us today for his vaccination booster. What makes this visit extra special is that Atlas was born right here at Emerald Vet Clinic via a Caesarean section, and now he's growing into a happy, healthy puppy! ❤️

From birth to vaccinations and every stage in between, we're here to support your pet's health throughout their life.

It's always a pleasure to watch our little patients grow up! 🐶💙
