๐ŸŒพ Grass seed season is well and truly here!

Poor 7-month-old Womble was enjoying his day until a sneaky grass seed found its way into his ear! Luckily, Mum brought him in straight away, allowing our team to help him before it caused any further discomfort.

With a little sedation and a steady hand, Dr Tania was able to remove the pesky seed.

Womble was feeling so much better afterwards, and Mum made our day by sending us a photo of him back to his happy, cheeky self!

๐ŸŒฑ A little reminder for pet owners:

Try to avoid walking your pets through long grass where possible, and check their fur, paws and ears after outdoor adventures.

Stay safe out there, furry friends! ๐Ÿพ

Some patients make it extra hard to say goodbye at the end of the day!

This is the handsome Rex, who was an absolute superstar during his castration. He made sure to soak up plenty of attention, show off his sweet personality and enjoy lots of snuggles with Nurse Maddie!

What a little sweetheart! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’—

๐Ÿพ Meet Arthur โค๏ธ

At 16 years young, Arthur is a much-loved regular at our clinic, visiting us for his arthritis injections with Solensia.

Recently, his owners noticed sudden lameness and promptly brought him in for assessment. X-rays revealed a fracture of his right femur. The cause of the fracture remains a mystery, as his owners were unaware of any accident or injury.

Unfortunately, due to the severity of the fracture, his owners made the difficult decision to proceed with a limb amputation.

Arthur was incredibly brave throughout his surgery and recovery. โค๏ธ And weโ€™re thrilled to see him now getting around confidently on three legs and enjoying life again! ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿพ

Go Arthur! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿพ Parvovirus Alert

There have been recent confirmed cases of canine parvovirus in Perth, so now is a good time to check that your dogโ€™s vaccinations are up to date.

Parvovirus is highly contagious and potentially life-threatening, particularly for puppies and unvaccinated dogs. It can spread through contaminated faeces and survive in the environment for extended periods.

๐Ÿฆ  Watch for: vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy or loss of appetite. If your dog develops any of these signs, contact your vet promptly.

๐Ÿ’‰ Vaccination is the best protection. If you have a puppy, recently adopted a dog, or aren't sure when your dog was last vaccinated, get in touch with our team to check their protection.

๐Ÿ“žContact the clinic on 9296 96 to confirm your pets vaccination status.
