Our recent Dental Month Smile Competition winners have been busy collecting their prizes!

Batman and Narlah stopped by this week to pick up their goodies, and we couldn't resist snapping a photo to celebrate. 😁

We can't decide what's cuter... the puppies or their names!

🐍 Snake Season Is Here

With warmer weather arriving, snakes are becoming more active throughout our region.

Every spring, we treat dogs and cats affected by snake bites. Early recognition and prompt treatment can make all the difference.

⚠️ Signs of snake bite can include: • Weakness or collapse • Wobbliness • Vomiting • Difficulty breathing • Paralysis

If you suspect your pet may have been bitten:

✅ Keep them calm and still ✅ Call us immediately

❌ Don't attempt to catch or kill the snake

Snake bites are a veterinary emergency, so don't wait for symptoms to worsen.

🌟 Patient of the Week: Alfred! 🌟

Today's star patient is the very handsome Alfred, who visited us for his castration procedure.

Alfred made it very clear that he was not interested in having his paparazzi moment, repeatedly trying to push the camera away whenever we attempted a photo! 📸🐾

Despite his opinions on photography, he was an absolute sweetheart and received plenty of cuddles from Nurse Jacki, who insisted he deserved this week's Patient of the Week title. ❤️

We hope you're enjoying a well-earned nap at home, Alfred!

🦷✨ Peppi & Nugget's Dental Day! ✨🦷

These two sweet pups recently visited us for their dental procedures, and what a difference a professional scale and polish can make!

Just like us, our pets can develop plaque and tartar build-up over time. Without regular dental care, this can lead to bad breath, painful gums, infected teeth, and other health concerns.

Both dogs were absolute stars throughout the day, and we're pleased to report they recovered beautifully.

🐶 Puppy Playgroup Report: Maximum Fun Achieved! 🐶

Last night's Little Paws Playgroup was packed with wagging tails, happy faces and puppy adventures!

Tamatoa, Macy, Luna, Ruby, Scully, Sully and Hudson all joined in the fun, with returning pups Ruby, Sully and Hudson showing the newcomers how it's done.

From conquering the obstacle course and diving into the ball pit to playing games and making new friends, the pups had an absolute ball. 💙

Watching these young pups build confidence, practise good manners and learn through play is one of our favourite parts of running Little Paws Playgroup.

We think everyone slept very well afterwards! 😴🐾

A gentle giant meets a tiny explorer ❤️🐾

Yesterday we had the pleasure of watching Millie, our beautiful 63kg Great Dane, meet Hudson, a curious little 15-week-old Beaglier weighing just 5kg.

The size difference was incredible, but one nose touch was all it took to remind us that kindness comes in every size. 🥰

We think this may be the cutest waiting room introduction we've seen in a while!
