Bec’s Unhinged Review:
11 dogs that collectively said, “Not today, mate.”
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate what happened in Kooyong the other day?
When a bloke wants to FAFO and the dogs start hearing the theme song to cops, you better RUN!
Because eleven dogs apparently formed the world’s least organised but somehow incredibly effective security team.
The Staffy deserves a bloody medal. Didn’t even hesitate. Took off after the bloke, got right on his heels and apparently came within about half a sniff of introducing his Achilles tendon to the consequences of poor decision-making. Started a fraction late but still nearly cleaned him up. That’s commitment.
Then you’ve got the Golden Retriever.
Let’s be honest, that beautiful thing probably thought everyone was playing the greatest game of chasey ever invented.
“WE’RE RUNNING?! THIS IS AMAZING! IS THERE A BALL? DOES EVERYBODY GET A TREAT AFTER THIS?”
No idea what was going on. Just thrilled to be included.
The Jack Russell?
Mate, if you’ve ever owned one, you already know. They wake up every morning choosing violence. That little bloke would’ve been giving it absolutely everything despite weighing about the same as a loaf of bread.
The Frenchie would’ve done a solid ten-metre sprint before remembering breathing is optional in that breed and stopping for a quick asthma break… but by God, the effort was there.
And then there were these scruffy little terrier legends.
These are the dogs that bark at leaves, bully the vacuum cleaner and think they’re six-foot-four. They would’ve been carrying on like they’d just been accepted into the FBI K9 Unit.
Meanwhile the rest of the pack just joined in because once one dog decides something’s happening, every other dog immediately agrees without asking a single bloody question.
Just eleven dogs collectively deciding…
“Righto, not today, mate.”
If that’s not teamwork, I don’t know what is.
So many good boys and girls 🐶🤣
